The movie last night, Money Monster, was pretty good ... a predicable ending but still good Tonight, dh and his real estate partner are invited to a clients house for dinner so me and the dd's are on our own ... The vote so far has been to have Subway so no cooking for me What's on your menu tonight?

While cleaning up the kitchen Wednesday night, I declared that I was not cooking on Sunday. Who knows why I chose Sunday, but it has worked out well. Everyone, except me, has been gone all day and won't be home until dinner time. After grocery shopping this morning, then cleaning, I have had the clean, quiet house to myself. Can you say heavenly? All of that to say that dinner will be vegetable chili from the freezer. ETA: anyone else craving cake after reading miominmio's post?

We are grilling steak shish kebabs. I have mushrooms, peppers and zucchini to go along with the beef. I'll probably make some rice pilaf too.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Oldest ds dug out a kid recipe book he's had for a few years and bookmarked some things he wants us to try. Tonight we're having a couple of the recipes, Kalbi beef short ribs with garlic green beans and baked potato. I think we might also grill some fresh pineapple. This morning while baking I decided to try a couple of new recipes, Chai snickerdoodles, which dh loved (ha, little does he know they're made with wholewheat flour and not a lot of butter or sugar) and as I type this I have chocolate brownies in the crockpot - who knew you could bake in a crockpot?

Takeout. I'm not cooking.
DD is going out with friends and we will have either pizza or Chinese takeout. Right now my vote goes to pizza but I really don't care.
ETA pizza won out so pizza and salad it is!

DH is complaining that his stomach is out of sorts. He's had several days like this since his gallbladder surgery almost 6 weeks ago. He needs to get back to the doctor. I can eat leftovers and we'll see what , if anything, he's up for.

We did some weeding in the garden this a.m. while it was cool for New Orleans - 76 degrees. DH wanted a breakfast (and I didn't) so he prepared him eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast. I had a baked potato and salad. Now he is taking a nap and I'm watching Hallmark movies. What a nice Sunday afternoon for us.

OMG - we had delicious hot dogs with cheddar cheese embedded in them. Johnsonville was the brand - Beddar Than Cheddar. And I made broccoli and had cut up mango for dessert.
Thanks for the thread.

Probably popcorn. We're going to a movie. This will be my dinner as well. I ate a bag at the movie last night and will eat another bag tonight. I saw Mother's Day. One section was extremely stupid. Most of it was quite cute and sweet. I really like Jennifer Anniston. After church, we ate a late lunch at Paradise Bakery. It was really good. My kids have a few choices for dinner as it will be YOYO night for them. However, they might convince me to throw together a corned beef and Swiss sandwich for them. Lisa

We're watching the hockey game. Neither of us wanted to cook, so it's a Kirkland brand frozen lasagna. ETA: We always have frozen prepared entrees on hand just for this type of night.
