Dang. I have to think about this again??? The boy will be here so I guess I have to decide what kind of something or another to feed him. What that will be I have no clue whatsoever. I am not sure what possessed me the other day (other than being hungry) but I picked up crescent roll sheets. Now I ask you, what in the world am I supposed to do with that?? If anyone has a clue, let me know. I could make a dinner out of it.

We are having rigatoni and meat sauce. I made a fruit salad with cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries for dessert.

One word: crockpot! I don't know about short ribs, but here, baby back ribs go in the oven to brown, then into the crockpot and they're falling off the bone in a few hours. Hmmmm, never thought about the crockpot. Thanks! This is the recipe I sort of follow: slow cooker BBQ ribs @ allrecipes.com
But I don't make the BBQ sauce in the recipe. I just mix a bottle of commercial BBQ sauce with ketchup or chili sauce until I'm happy with the combination. And one more thing, once the ribs come out of the oven, I cut them into one- or two-rib sections before tossing them into the crockpot. And finally ... it's never taken 6-8 hours to cook. I start it on high and then turn it down to low as soon as the glass lid gets good and steamed up. My experience is the meat is falling off the bone in five hours, tops.

We had a busy DIY day today. My DH moved about 2 tons of rock for our patio he is redoing and I spread it out. I also finished sanding down 2 chairs a friend have me and gave them each one coat of paint. All that to say we were one tired!!! Luckily DH remembered I had made a meatloaf and frozen it a few weeks ago so we defrosted that and had it with baked potatoes from the pressure cooker and collard greens and broccoli.
