Just curious if any of those apps are working for you. I usually post sale items on Craig's list, but I'm not having as much luck with it as I have in the past. Do people not use Craig's anymore? If you use the new apps, which one?
Thanks!

No, I personally don't use Craigslist anymore.
I have the best luck buying and selling on Facebook. We have lots of local pages and most of them are super active.

I use Close 5 & Offer Up. My dh has a repurposing business and we have gotten lots of raw material that way

I use Close 5, let go and offer up.
I mainly use the yard sale sites on Facebook. There like 30 in my area.

No one uses craigslist around me anymore unless it is for weird sex. We have varage sale and kijiji. Both are the same premise. I will occasionally buy from people but have given up selling. People are just too much work. The last thing i posted was a $600 item I was selling for $150. MUCH less than everyone else was reselling for because I am decluttering and wanted it gone. I had over 10 people offer me less than $40. One offered 30 and wanted me to deliver. Ha! After 3 other no shows, a woman came to buy it and when she got here only had $50 in Tim Hortons gift cards to pay for it. WTF? Just thinking about it makes me want to bang my head off the table. Again It is still in my closet.

Slight hijack, but Rainy_Day_Woman's story reminded me. I knit mermaid blankets and sell them on various apps. I've had multiple people offer me $20 for an adult sized blanket that I list for $60. I refrain from telling them to fuck off...

As part of our move last month, we had to sell or give away a TON of stuff. I used a combination of CraigsList, Offer Up, and NextDoor. We got rid of things on all three, but I definitely had the most success with Offer Up, with NextDoor a close second.

I just use the Garage Sale groups on Facebook. Very active in my area, and you're going where people already are hanging out online - versus much smaller audiences on those apps.

I had no idea CL was a dinosaur. My coworker posted three items on there this month and sold all three. I just posted a Pottery Barn item there last week and have someone interested.
I just checked Offer Up and the "closest" items posted were 30 miles away.

I will look into the apps mentioned. Some I haven't heard of.
If i wanted to post on FB, how do I make it so my friends don't see and only people on that FB page do?

As long as the group is closed or secret your friends will not see your posts with in the group, unless they are part of the group.

What I hate about my current Facebbook group is the huge amount of posts! It takes forever to wade through them. It would be nice to have categories. There are also people who join and want pick up (for small items) outside the area! The moderators do it for free, so I don't like to complain. One of the main rules is you have to arrange pick up with in certain towns.
