My pressure cooker should be here on Saturday! Yippee! Now I just need to figure out what I want to make. What are your favorite recipes or foods to make in your pressure cooker?? Thanks!

I cook ham, cabbage, potatoes and green beans. All in one pot for about 10 minutes after the cap starts jiggling. I also cook pot roast, carrots and potatoes. Its also one way i cook cormed beef. I always put the veg on the bottom and meat on top and then fill about 1/2 with water.

I keep saying I'm going to get one, I just haven't! I love reading these threads for inspiration on what to cook when I do get one. Iamkristen, which one did you get?

I have the old fashioned stove-top pressure cooker. I wish I had more ideas and used it more; dinner is so easy when I use it! On days where I'll be home late, I usually prep stuff ahead of time and have DH dump it in and turn it on. Then when I get home it's about to start jiggling and that means dinner is almost finished!
The only things I use it for is: 1) beef roast with carrots, potatoes and some onion. I use salt and pepper with some beef broth and salt and pepper. 2) polish kielbasa (I use turkey sausage) with fresh green beans and onion (sometimes potatoes too) with some water and salt and pepper.

I never really thought about a pressure cooker until I read this thread. Now I want one!! Evil enablers. Off to look and see what Amazon has-too lazy to go look at a real store. Any suggestions?

He's ok with and looking forward to getting some good food from it! LOL Good thing cooking is a hobby as well as a necessity.
Thanks, lovetodigi!
