I went to several garage sales today and couldn't help think of Heartcat and her fabulous finds. I will be sad that she won't be showing off her $3.00 tables scapes and fabulous finds. Sniff Sniff. Come back Heartcat, we need you.
My pathetic finds were a $.25 of spray adhesive (never used) and 8 Hosta plants for $20 for a charity plant sale. The kids selling were too cute to resist.

I saw a nice pair of shoes in a charity shop but I am trying to avoid bringing more 'stuff' home.

I didn't realize Heartcat wasn't around. What's up with that? I'm not a garage sale person as a rule, but I admired all her fabulous finds.

What happened to heartcat? It's raining all weekend here. I got eggs for 0.80 at the grocery store on a Saturday special. That's all I got!

I just checked and she was online May 13. Perhaps she's in a busy spot in her life with no time to post? Hopefully she'll be back soon! heartcat - if you are around and have time, we'd love to hear your latest garage sale finds! I'm in the midst of a major purge here and haven't been going to any garage sales or estate sales. I do visit the thrift store every couple of weeks but haven't found a thing in the past few months. They must have a new person in charge of the fabric/crafts department. Instead of the normal 25¢ for patterns, they have them marked at $2. There was a huge box of them put out over a month ago and they are just sitting. And because people act like animals, they are a big mess now. I am taking the bad stock and overpricing as a sign that I need to be home tending my own mess instead!   |
