When I get the chance to hang out with my family we play a lot of board games. It's time for some new ones. What ones do your family love? Are there any you'd say not to get? Ages range from 13-60. We have most the typical - Monopoly, Life, Scrabble, Uno, etc. Thanks!!

Someone on this board recommended Pandemic before Christmas - my family has loved it!

Our family favorite is Sorry since it is mostly chance and kids and adults are on the same level. We have tournaments and it really gets fun!

We love Quirkle. It's really fun and not too difficult to learn to play. Rummikub is also fun.

Telestrations is really fun...we need games that my 7 yo nephew can play but also keep my 68 yo dad interested. If you can read and draw, that's all you need. We love it, it's short rounds and we get to laugh with each other.

I agree that Pandemic is fun. We also like Wits and Wagers, Exploding Kittens (super quick card game for when you have fifteen minutes), Killer Bunnies, and Settlers of Catan.

Killer Bunnies is great fun.
Pirate Vs. Pirate is easy to learn and a quick play.
Blokus is fun and quick, too.
We like Apples to Apples for a big group.

There are so many great board and card games out right now. It's amazing the variety. Our favorites are Catan, Machi Koro, Pandemic, Forbidden Island, Ticket to Ride, and Dixit. We have a ton more, but I'm on hour six of my headache so not thinking much today. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg) Here's a blog post I did about games for families: 17 games for families with older kids I should do another post because we've found even more fun ones since then.

Ooh fun thread! I'm loving all of the suggestions. I play mostly younger games with DS #2 because he is a huge game freak. But DS #1 is starting to warm up to games now, too, so I like seeing suggestions for teens and adults. Thanks for the links @rsalamon

I will have to look into some of these.
My favorite is Scattegories and Balderdash - the Dictionary game - which hasn't been mentioned yet. However, instead of buying the game, we just pull out a dictionary and the person choosing just finds a word that no one knows. I often laugh until I cry playing this game.

Exploding Kittens, Machi Koro & Dragonwood (by Gamewright) have all been hits with my family this year - ages 13 to 65.
And Quarto is a fun, quick logic puzzle game for two. Kind of a mix between Set & Tic Tac Toe.
