I was renewing my registration online and saw the option for personalized license plates and I thought I'd take a look. First I saw the Air Force Veteran plate which was really nice, it only had four spaces though, so not much room for personalizing. Then I just looked at the general plate that could be personalized. It had eight spaces. So I played around with the lettering and a lot of the ones that I wanted were already taken by someone else. Finally I opted for VEGANMOM. I love it! Does anyone else have a personalized license plate?

The "8" is a block letter so it looks just like a "B".

LSU JOY Funny story: when LSU played Oklahoma in the 2003 BCS National Championship game, I told DH if we won I was going to get a personalized plate. He thought Oklahoma would win so he said sure. The minute the game was over (we won 21-14), I was online to the DMV ordering my plates.  Funnier story: One day two blonds were looking at my license plate and said they always have fun trying to decipher personalized plates but mine stumped them. I guess they totally missed the license plate HOLDER that read 2003 National Champs Louisiana State University.  So I told them I'm a happy member of the Long Shoreman's Union. They said that's awesome and went on their merry way. True story!

Both DH and I have collegiate plates (University of Iowa). Mine say RUHWKI2 - "Are you a Hawkeye too?" And DH has GAMTYME - Game Time. We have to list 5 and they pick what is not already taken, so you have to get creative!

I have had the same personalized plate in SC, TX, and NC. Love it, and won't ever go back to a normal plate. |

I have ITS T*TYM (I added the star between the T's) for It's Tea Time. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to come up with a personalized tea-theme plate that isn't already taken in California. I've had these plates for years and I'm actually kind of sick of it, and my registration is due next month, so I think I'll dump it and go back to regular plates now. |

Mine is CAKE LDY. We can have seven letters/numbers with one small space. I live in WI, but was outside Nashville getting gas and using the restroom. I came out, and there was a lady standing by my car obviously waiting for me. She asked me if I did cakes, and I replied that I did. Then she proceeded to tell me she was looking for someone to do her wedding cake. Ummmm... you noticed CAKE LDY, but you didn't notice it was from WI; not TN???!

We have four cars/trucks with personalized plates and my kids each have personalized plates. My first car when I was 16 had my name on my plates. I have an unusual name and it got me in all kinds of trouble. Everyone knew where I was and there was no other "peasquared" to blame it on!! I love reading other's plates and trying to figure out the abbreviated ones. 3sugarbugs, my dad would love to have yours! |

I do. when I got a specialty plate with a coastal design I figured I might as well get it personalized too. I hate the extra cost but it makes it that much easier to find my car in a huge parking lot. LOL

I had been wanting a personalized plate for years but couldn't figure out exactly what I wanted on it. I was talking to one of the managers at work last year and somehow the subject of license plates came up. He said he thought it would be funny if I had one that said OK since my name is Kaye. I laughed and agreed with him and then spent the next couple of weeks trying to decide exactly what I wanted.
I ended up with a West Point plate (my son graduated from West Point Saturday) that says OHKAYE.
People comment on it all the time.

On my old Honda I have "luv d sox" Love the Red Sox. We handed it down to DS since he just turned 16 but I'm taking the plates off. I have had too many people think it's SEX not SOX...don't need that on a car a 16 yr old is driving.

I live in Texas but I have Texas plates that are University of Arizona and say "WLBR" I am a huge U of A fan and graduate. Wilbur is the name of our mascot and the name of my car.
