I'm a Baby Foot fanatic! I use it probably every four to six weeks and it usually takes 4-5 days before the skin starts peeling. When it does start peeling, I help it along with a loofa. For a day or two, I wouldn't want to be barefoot in public but it is worth it for keeping my feet soft and my heels from getting that yucky cracked look/feel. ^^^ do you do any kind of exercising?? I'm curious whether having such 'new' soft skin would make being on the treadmill, walking, running, etc. more painful than before having done it?? (I just remember doing the 60-mile 3-day for the Cure walk and that the people who got fancy pink-nailed pedicures right before the walk were in agony and really hurting, because their feet weren't 'toughened up' for all the walking any more.) Yep, some calluses protect your feet from repetitive rubbing. An aside, go you! My MIL is very active with the 3-Day, it is a serious commitment for a great cause

The peeling idea sounds a lot like the one where you soak your feet in the green colored Listerine and then your dead skin peels off. I never tried it.
I used to get pedicures biweekly and had baby-soft feet. Now I live in HOT Florida temps, wear flip-flops most of the time, barely go get pedicures and my feet are so soft! I try to loofah them in the shower. I also use cuticle oil on my nails and when I get out, I do my coconut bodybutter all over, including on the bottom of my feet, slip socks or slippers on til I'm all dressed and my feet are very soft. No cracks! I also drink tons of water--not sure if that helps.

I found a product at Target that i'm really liking these days. It's called Pedispa by LookBeauty. I think I paid around $10 for a 2 pair pack of "footmasks".
They are plastic type booties with some sort of moisturizers in them. Directions says to wear for 30 minutes, but I wear longer. My feet are nice and smooth this morning after using them last night.
btw they do say on the box they are "only at Target."

Flexitol -I leaned about it at Two Peas. One of the best recommendations I received there. Easy to apply, low maintenance and works great.
I bought mine from Amazon, but a friend who took my Rec found it at CVS behind pharmacy counter.

I treadmill most everyday and run 2-3 times a week and have never had any issues. ?

thanks for the info, deekaye-- I wear flip flops and sandals a lot and would like 'nicer' looking feet, but I also don't want to make my workouts painful just for nice feet, if you know what I mean.
