I have heard about this product called "Baby Foot" which is like a "natural" peel for your feet. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and what the results were?
Thanks in advance!

I bought it a year ago and haven't done it yet. It just never seems like a good time to leave a trail of dead skin behind me. Lol. My friend bought them when I did, she said it worked great. Sent me pics of the peeling. Lol If you use it soak your feet for 30 minutes and then put the booties on for at least an hour. Try to soak your feet every day for a few days after that. It took her feet a abou 8 days before they started to peel.

I have not use that but used the Perfectly Posh Soothing Stick and Rubby Scrubby. I use them daily, and my feet are SO much better for it. Another Pea told me about it.

Patter -- where are those products sold? How long until you noticed a difference?

PolarGreen12 -- thanks for the reply! I wondered about that too -- the trail of peeling skin -- bleah! It is so hard to tell from the online reviews what to believe!

I asked her if it was really that bad, she said she probably couldn't have worn ballet flats for about 3 days in the middle. She's more of a sock and sneakers person so it didn't affect her much.

Haven't tried it but I still swear by Flexitol. Best rough/cracked heel product I've ever used and I've used 'em all. Does what it promises and requires minimal maintenance afterwards. My Grand Canyon-sized cracks are long gone and with minimal upkeep, my feet are almost as soft as a baby's butt. Love the stuff!

Patter -- where are those products sold? How long until you noticed a difference? You have to get them from a rep or eBay. I chose eBay because I didn't know a rep. Worked great. And last summer I had a terrible time, and it didn't seem to work. This year it is working because I do it daily! Last year it was hit or miss. I love the smell of the peppermint too so it is very nice in and out of the shower. You use the Rubby Scrubby in the shower and the other afterwards. I put on lotion daily after my shower and have for years and year so I have incorporated this into my routine. Now it's working beautifully.

I'm a Baby Foot fanatic! I use it probably every four to six weeks and it usually takes 4-5 days before the skin starts peeling. When it does start peeling, I help it along with a loofa. For a day or two, I wouldn't want to be barefoot in public but it is worth it for keeping my feet soft and my heels from getting that yucky cracked look/feel.

I used it about a year and half ago and need to do it again. The key is to make sure you soak your feet before applying the product and then about 15 minutes every day afterwards. It speeds up the process and helps get it over with faster. I really only had 2 days of ugh but I just didn't wear sandals or flip flops on those days. I scrubbed my feet with a washcloth in the shower to get off the big hunks. Gross! All the new skin exposed can make your feet tender for a few days afterwards.

I swear by Eulactol Heel Balm - it's amazing and works pretty quickly. It's available on Amazon.

The stuff is the only thing that works on my feet. I've also noticed if I don't let the salon use the "cheese grater" on my feet they stay softer much longer.

I just starting using Vicks on my feet, yes, Vicks Vapo Rub. I put it on at night then socks. My feet are baby skin soft! I'm loving it. Sounds weird, but it is working for me.

deekaye -- good info to know. Sounds like it works well if you follow all the instructions exactly. I am eager to see if it will work for me too. Thanks for the feedback.

shanniebananie -- I am glad to hear that it is only a few days that it is "the worst" of the peeling. I had images of having to wear socks around for 2 weeks and that just wouldn't work out well for me!

@pinkshirley - thanks for the tip on the "cheese grater" thing. I have used these for years and it could be contributing further to the problem instead of the solution.

Yes and I peeled for at least two weeks. My feet wee absolutely disgusting but turned out beautiful.
However, two months later and it's like I never used it. The immediate results are great but I'm not sure it's worth it long term.

Dani-Mani@dani - that is what I am worried about -- going through all that soaking and shedding for an awesome result that feels very short term.

My hairdresser and some of her associates used it before Spring Break and they were very happy with it.

I just did it for the first time about 3 weeks ago. Amazing stuff and I'll be using it again! My heels are really bad, to the point that many of the products listed above did absolutely nothing for me. My heels look wonderful now. It took about 5 days before the peeling started and I had peeling for a little over a week. To speed it up, I would take a bath then rub my feet really well with my Dermasuri mitt. It did a better job of exfoliating than a loofah for me. Then I would put a good moisturizer on my feet and put socks on for the night. I found that really helped keep the flaking down during the day. Will definitely be doing it again when I see the need.

I sure wish I had known this a few weeks ago. I had to go to the podiatrist yesterday because my foot still hasn't healed up and I am so tired of limping. My feet are embarrassingly ugly and cracked. I did the cheese grater thing the night before and then put a foot cream on them. They were a bit better, but still pretty darned gross. I didn't even bother to polish my toenails because pretty nails would look so out of place on my sahara desert feet.
Fortunately for him, the torn ligament was fully accessible from the top of my foot so he never even touched or looked at my heels. I know he has probably seen worse, but it is still embarrassing. I have to keep icing my foot for a couple more days, and when that is over, I am going to try this Baby Foot stuff. I'd rather do it now and get over the flaking chunks because pool season is coming up fast. I have to go back to the podiatrist again for a recheck and I would like to have decent feet at least once for an exam.

I found it on Amazon with Prime shipping. Can't wait to try it. I was told that a lot of my problem is that I don't wear shoes with backs (or even shoes at all) and that heels tend to crack more when they don't have support. I have the Ped egg and the Amore grinder. While they are good for a week, the cracks come back quickly.

I've always had sandpaper feet so this might not be as dramatic of a difference as you hope but recently my pumice stone fell and broke and I replaced it with a wooden file from the body shop, it's got dark sandpaper like coating, rough and fine on opposite sides. I started using it daily in the shower after my feet looked their worst (after 4 days walking in flip flops at Disneyland) a month later and I have what I think are acceptable looking feet, cracks are gone but they're still thick soled, I do not think I will ever have baby feet, but this sloughing off seems to have worked well.

Babyfoot didn't work for me. I followed the instructions, I had dry heels but not really bad and they weren't cracked and horrible, so maybe mine weren't bad enough? I didn't get any peeling at all, all I ended up with was cracks along the side of my sole where there weren't any before. I had a free sample of the brand name original "Babyfoot" that I got in one of those cosmetic sample boxes. I won't be trying it again.
