Update: Got a text message from the friend I made it for that it was delicious. Crisis averted! Now I know that "no boil" and "oven ready" do not translate the same.
I usually use Barilla no boil noodles for my Lasagne. They were out of them at the store and I bought the Meijer brand that said "Oven Ready" so I thought I didn't have to boil them. Wrong! Made the mistake of reading the fine print after I put it in the oven. Of course I am taking it to a friend who had a death in the family. Ugh! Am I screwed? Don't have the ingredients to start over and it's too late anyway.

I had never even heard of "no boil noodles" before a big pea thread about it.
You don't have to boil lasagna noodles beforehand no matter what kind they are.

I never boil. Just make sure the sauce is touching the noodles. I assemble my lasagna early in the day so I think the noodles have a chance to absorb some of liquid.

You can use regular noodles as long as there is plenty of sauce.

Just assemble it so the sauce is layered next to the noodles and there is more than enough liquid to cook the noodles.

As long as there is enough sauce, you should be fine. I make manicotti all the time without boiling the noodles.

I don't boil my lasagna pasta but I do let it sit in warm water for a few minutes because that's what Ina Garten does. It should be fine.

I've used the Meijer brand noodles like you did and never boil them. I'm sure your lasagna will fine.

Another who has never boiled regular noodles. Add a little extra sauce or even water (doesn't take much). The noodles absorb the liquid from all the ingredients. Cover with foil and bake for at least an hour --uncover for another 10-15. Makes for nicer looking slices too! You can always add extra sauce on the plate if you think it's too dry.

This is the way my grandmother taught me to make any type of baked pasta (lasagna, manicotti etc). I think, so long as you either soak the noodles or use a lot of red gravy making sure it's touching/covering the noodles that you're ok not boiling them.

But on the rare occasion that I use a box noodle, I will still boil my noodles. I just know that many people don't. Supposedly the red sauce has enough liquid to get them just right. (shoulder shrug)

I quit boiling my lasagna noodles years ago, and never looked back! I do add a little extra liquid - 1/2 cup or so of wine is perfect - and it comes out great every time!
I usually buy Muellers brand regular noodles, but I've used lots of different brands, always with great results.

One of my favorite stories that my mom tells is that right after she and my dad were married, she made a lasagna when her in-laws were coming to dinner for the first time. She didn't boil the noodles and the DIDN'T soften when she baked it. (She just didn't know that you should - being a nice Jewish girl, I don't think she'd had much experience eating pasta, let alone cooking it.) That story has stuck with me, and I ALWAYS boil mine when I make it. Plus, the recipe I use doesn't have a ton of sauce, so I doubt they'd soften enough during baking.

I assume your lasagna turned out? I never boil noodles either - I worked at an Italian place when I was 16 and they didn't boil their noodles. I do add a shot glass of water poured down the side of the pan just before I cover the lasagna (keep covered for the first 30 minutes or so of baking) Mmmm... now I want lasagna!

Never boiled mine either. I've used lots of different brands and never had a problem. Just make sure that they are well covered in sauce as you build the lasagna and you will be fine.

I usually use the over ready noodles. In those instances where I can't I don't boil regular noodles, stopped doing that years and years ago. I always would just make it up the night before, let it sit in the fridge and cook it the next day and my lasagna always turned out perfect.
