I love moving. I get itchy feet, ready to go! I joined the military and didn't look back. I take life as an adventure. On to new things! I'm kinda stuck where I am at the moment but if the opportunity arose I would go! I love to see new places and haven't really depended on anyone else for emotional support so much that I yearned to go back. Abuse does that for ya. I do go back and visit but it's hit or miss and if I don't go for a while it's OK. I have considered moving to Las Vegas, but there would be so much administrative stuff to change that it would bog me down.

I relocated to Arizona from Idaho, to Illinois from Arizona and back, and from Arizona to North Carolina. I never regretted any move more than going back to arizona. I love our family and they are all there but we stuck it out for 6 more years and I am so glad to be gone. I just never liked AZ. I am loving NC so far, after 5 months it already feels like home. Agh, so glad you are loving NC thus far!!! That's how I felt the moment we moved here. It will be 4 years at the end of June. I am thankful every morning for this wonderful place. Enjoy!!! Where are you in NC? I'm in the Raleigh area, if you are close by we should meet sometime!

We're hoping to move from NC to AZ next year. We don't have any family here but we will have our school-age kids with us. When we move my DH will be retired from the Army. Our biggest challenge right now is selling our house. It's a terrible market here and we did updates and relisted it but are getting no showings so we're worried it won't happen. We're a bit nervous about moving across country, but we're more anxious about being stuck in a place that never felt like "home". Good luck! I take it you aren't in Raleigh then, it's crazy here, totally a sellers market. I sold a house in AZ that sat on the market for 6 months, it sucked and took a lot of patience and money. Ultimately it was new carpet and paint in the entire house that did it. We did that, all plain builders white everything, had them retake the photos and it got a showing and sold the next week. But it was empty and as plain as it could possibly be. Good luck!

raindancer, I am in Hickory so about 3 hours west of you. I was in your area a lot earlier this year when my DD had her heart surgeries at Duke. My aunt actually lives in your area. So fun, and I will let ya know if I am that way again.
