Luckily I am on the same page with the thermostat in our home. We don't want it too cold inside because we want to be able to function outside. We live in Houston and it is hot most of the time. Only problem is freezing in stores and restaurants.

I'd rather be too cold than too hot. But too cold for no reason? No thanks!
My vent for the day is more of a passing sadness than a vent but it's put me in a foul mood. I understand that spouse trumps friend but it really sucks bending over backwards for someone every time they need something only to come in second every time you need/want something.

I'm the "cold" one in our relationship. He likes it a lot colder than most people and would be comfortable at 65, I like it at 61. Now, it is much colder downstairs than up so I do put a blanket on my lower legs sometimes when I am down there. But if we don't keep it that low I am literally unable to sleep due to being overheated. And it is not unusual for me to have ice on my neck or head just to cool me off. He typically wears long sleeved t-shirts and shorts or his scrub pants. If he's really cold he'll put on a sweatshirt but that doesn't happen often.
The way I see it, I can't get any more naked and he cn always add layers. He agrees with that sentiment.

I saw I am an 80's girl. I love warm weather. Dh would turn the AC on in the morning or open doors and cool the house off before it gets warm. I would turn it off or close the doors as soon as he leaves. then half hour before he is due home I will turn the AC back on. He does work outdoors all day so it probably feels good but I am not going to freeze all day!!
