It's been unseasonably warm here the last few weeks considering we are moving into winter but the last couple of days it's changed and all of a sudden it's turned cold and wet.
So Angelique is trying to find herself a blanket to snuggle up under...but the one I recently crocheted is folded and over the back of the sofa, so with her best Tim Gunn attitude, she's trying to 'make it work'
lol, she looks so uncomfortable. I pointed out to her that there's a fluffy blanket on the other seat that was put there just for her, or there's an entire bed with a feather doona that she's free to sleep on, but for the moment she's doing this and giving me the stink eye from time to time.
Anyone else have pets who 'make it work' in silly places when they don't need to?

She's cold, poor little thing. She needs something fluffy and warm, not only to sleep on, but covering her as well. Why do you not do the right thing and fullfill her needs? You are only the human, you know, it is your duty to be her slave.....I mean "responsible owner".

LOL. My cats hate having any kind of cover on them, so they'd never do that. They're quite happy to lie ON a blanket, but that's as far as it goes.

Sir Cutie has a self heating pet pad that he refuses to sleep on, put a newspaper down or get a parcel on the other hand and he's on it fast asleep in about five seconds!

Lol. "But you see, O Ignorant Owner, that the fluffy blanket on the chair or the doona on the bed are not what I want right this minute! So why are you not taking down this grey/white blanket that coordinates with my fur so well and putting it where I CAN GO UNDER IT??" Lovely cat also. Googling "doona" now. I'm assuming it's what we call a "comforter" since you said "feather doona". Seems like a good place for a cat but only if said cat *wants* to be on it.

I don't have cats, but I have a dog that stole my blanket. I bought it specifically for me because she was usually sleeping on the other one on the couch. As soon as she discovered mine, she HAD TO HAVE IT. I mean she actually pulls it off me trying to nest with it. She's a 7 pound Shih Tzu so its not like there isn't enough room for both of us. Sometimes my husband lets the dogs sleep with me in the bed after he's taken them out in the morning. We had to start bringing her blanket with her so she would settle down in the bed. The older she gets the more entitled she gets...

Poor, poor Angelique! I'd suggest you take the blanket down and cover her up, but if she was like mine that would trigger a change of mind and she'd up and leave. Is she a Russian Blue? She is beautiful! Reminds me of the RB we had when I was in high school. He was a gorgeous cat with such a great temperament. As a kitten he had enormous ears, but grew to match them ending up around 20 lbs.

She knows the gray and blue afghan (gorgeous by the way) is more flattering to her!
Cats crack me up, they take the craziest notions into their heads sometimes.

One of my kitties loves to sleep in clean laundry or the dryer before it's been unloaded. I scratch my head at that one. Your cat is beautiful and looks very content.
