Good Friday morning ladies!! The weekend is almost here! It's been a long, busy week and I'm looking forward to at least one day off this weekend (Monday). I did GREAT with my eating last night at the awards dinner - so happy that I can make good choices when eating out places. And I'm SO excited that the scale is heading in a downward direction still - kind of a reinforcement that skipping out on the tiramisu and the alfredo sauce last night was worth it. DH is home today so we can get the pool up this morning. Then we're off to do grocery shopping. And yard work after that. I hope you ladies have a great day!!

Brandy, glad you were able to make great food choices! How is your hubby feeling? I hope he didn't have strep and feels better! We have a couple of appointments today but will be home for meals so that is good. Now to figure out what to have for dinner. That is the question. Have a great day girls!

We have a couple of appointments today but will be home for meals so that is good. Now to figure out what to have for dinner. That is the question. Have a great day girls! He's actually feeling a little better. And he does NOT have strep. I looked at his throat last night and the white "spot" on his throat is actually a tonsil stone. So he's just dealing with really bad seasonal allergies. But he feels pretty rough in the morning but as soon as he's up and starts drinking water, he feels better. Thank you for asking!

Oh that is funny that you had to look to know he doesn't have it. Guys are always SO funny and think the worst of things. But sorry he feels rough. Hopefully he will get over this allergy mess quickly. Flonase is one of our best friends.

Good morning!
That's great that you were able to find and make healthy choices at your event last night, Brandy. YDS chose Olive Garden for dinner. I skipped the pasta and had a chicken dish. I managed to keep myself to two bites of the potatoes that came with it before handing my plate to DH.
Workout 4 of BBM done for the day. My boss said we are calling it a day a noon. Works for me. We don't have big plans for the holiday weekend. DH is a vet. It's important to him that we attend one of the ceremonies in the area with our boys, so we will go do that. Otherwise, planting the garden and just enjoying the start of summer.
Happy Friday, everyone!

Ds had a game last night. It ran late, so after I ran my 4 miles. I live in the country with nowhere to run, so I run in random neighborhoods. Last night the neighborhood I picked was just so peaceful.
When I got home ds had showered, but was complaining of a headache. I took his temp because he felt warm. 104.5! Yikes! I had picked up his friend to spend the night, so dh took him home.
Hopefully I can get him in to be seen today. This morning he is still at 102.9 with meds on board.
We had planned a fun outing downtown to meet dh at the food trucks for lunch. Not now. I think I will start cleaning the logs in the den and repainting the chink. We live in a log cabin and I slowly want to do this to all the log walls this summer. It will really lighten the place up quite a bit. I am excited to get started, but also feel a little overwhelmed by it as well.
Have a good one ladies!

My husband is getting ready to fire up the smoker for ribs and pulled pork this weekend. I am trying to balance all that pork with as many veggies as I can-- I love the smoker because I don't have to cook but I do have to watch portions. But this is the first big cook of the year! I'll have plenty left for the freezer so more no-cook days are ahead of me!
I have been watching old episode of Extreme Weight Loss on TLC channel. I don't know why I never watched it before, but it is quite motivating to watch. I'm trying to stay away from my fav, Food network, while I workout on the Bowflex! Lol.
We are suffering from allergy season here too. I have found that Flonase (which is over the counter) is worth it's weight in gold.

Morning!!
I worked on orders until 10:30 last night.....that's what I get for taking too many orders during a week I lost a full day for a photo shoot! It will be another long one tonight as well I'm sure. But the paycheque at the end of tomorrow will be worth it!
Eating was well on track yesterday. I do so well when I'm at home and not needing to be out anywhere. Sunday will be a challenge - I'm off to a cookie class and lunch is provided. I'll do my best to eat what I can, and bring along a few things for myself just in case.
have a great day all!

@brandy I am glad your DH is feeling better. Great job staying on track last night! TankTop--hopefully your son is better soon. That stinks that you had to change your plans. I have no idea what you are doing to the logs but it sounds like a lot of work. Good luck! I am so glad it is Friday. Work has been stressful this week and i really need to clean. I've been feeling down lately and hopefully cleaning will help. I just start to feel torn in too many directions and feel like I am not doing anything well/right because of too much to do. I had a really good eating day yesterday (the whole week has been good) and have stuck to my workouts. I have lost almost all of the weight I gained over the last two tournament weekends. Hopefully I can keep losing now and not gain. Have a good day, everyone!

so psyched to hear everyone's good news! I am doing really well and this morning, I took my new minimalist "barefoot" shoes out for a run. I know I am quite a few years late to the barefoot running party but OMG-I had the best run I have had in a very long time. I was only going to do 2 miles, but it felt so good, I did 4! I am in love with this and feel like I am finally going to be able to progress in my running. food has been going pretty well also. looking forward to the long weekend, hope everyone has good weather and a good time!

My co worker lives in one and I just love going over there - so cozy.
Sorry to hear about your sick kiddo - hope he is feeling better soon. My husband is sick too - he has been home for 3 days. So far I haven't gotten it which is good cause I have my 5K tomorrow morning and I just can't get sick!
I'm so looking forward to the 3 day weekend. I have a massage scheduled for Monday morning - yay!

brandy327 Great job on the food last night!
TankTop Hope DS feels better soon.
Ok- girls- have you done Supermans? That was on my workout today and I could not do one to save my life! So he switched me to the back extension machine. Any tips? That's the first thing that has given me fits since I started with this guy.
And I hear all of you about allergies- my eyes are dripping.

Lots of good news shares today. My good news is that I'm officially began my summer vacation at 2:31 this afternoon. Well, I do have 3 days of post planning next week, but I really don't mind those.
Just came home from the store loaded down with good foods. I'm getting back to making smoothies at night. I use plain fat free yogurt, almond milk, spinach, a banana and what ever fruit is on hand. It's surprisingly filling.
With all the great endorsements of BBM, I'm beginning that tomorrow. I can just jump in right? I know I'll be off sequence.

Thank the dear Lord today is not only Friday, but the beginning of a long week-end and a pay day! I'm so flippin' tired!
Went to a retirement party last night and tried to be good about my selections and entered them into my WW app. Holy smokes! My DINNER came out to 30 Smart Points! OUCH!It was good, but not THAT good! Thankfully I had my weekly points to "save" me, but man! That sucked because I did make good choices.
I'm thinking I'll be up at my weigh-in tomorrow. I'm kinda bummed, but I'll live. I jumped on the scale Wednesday and Thursday and saw gains and unless something magical happens before tomorrow, I'll be up. It will be fine...I'm PMSing--and it'll be a week before the bloat goes away as it will arrive by next Fri/Sat.
So I know logically that the gain is likely bloat/water, it can still mess with my head! I'm trying to just focus on my eating and exercise and not worry too much about the number, but I'm >this close< to getting 20lbs down it's kinda bugging me to tell the truth.
Took the boys to get their first ice cream cone of the season. I had a lick from each of their cones and MAN! Was it ever crazy sweet! Now I'm waiting for it to be a little cooler this evening before I go on my walk so I don't die...last week we barely hit 60 degrees...today, it's 95 degrees. Crazy!

I haven't tried them yet but have heard about them. What brand do you have? I got the Vibram Bikila EVO road running shoes-my stride is completely different in them. what can I say? I read "Born to Run" and could relate SO much to the author and the science behind "barefoot" running that I just had to give it a try. I am so thrilled about progressing in my running

Did four 15 minute walks yesterday at work And I went to the new/different dog trainer. She was so much different but really good! Didn't do as many full ring runs, but she had me running back and forth a lot because I wasn't doing it correctly So worked up another light sweat which was good. She is much tougher then the other trainer. The other trainer is very nice and fluffy, but I felt I got more information and knowledge in just the first 5-10 minutes with this new trainer than with the other one. So even though it's really hard to hear tough criticism at 8 pm after a long day at work, I'm going to have to go with the tougher trainer if I want to learn all I can - ugh, why do I do this to myself I'm hoping to walk a bit this weekend since we don't go away for the holiday. Everyone else goes camping so we stay home instead of fighting the traffic and crowds. So I'll wander around the neighborhood and maybe even try Cto5K
