Show me a photo how your pets are spending the weekend. Mine is sticking her tongue out at me and eating his brush.

I'm sorry I don't have photos, but my cats are sleeping their way to glory. My box turtle is enjoying himself outside in his little turtle bath.

No picture either, but my friend dropped off her miniature (ha) Australian shepherd and the three dogs are having a lovely weekend chasing bunnies and barking at the next door neighbor doberman. They have been having get togethers for nine years and I think this is the first time the shepherd isn't being a spaz. Age has mellowed him.

My dog is at my parents and the cat is being checked on and played with 1-3 times per day while we are out of town.

Our dogs were at the neighbors pool this evening. They had a blast, but are wiped out now.

How are your pets spending this weekend? >>>> I was going to say "Credit card because they don't have any cash" but then I realized that isn't quite what you meant.... (full disclosure, I have no pets at this time but I love seeing everyone elses so I cam to admire your pets.) I borrowed this off of facebook:

We're watching a neighbor's dog, my dog's best friend. So my dog is being a good hostess and showing the friend around the house. Of course friend has been here many many times. But that doesn't stop them from racing around, going in and out and in and out and in and out and ... the back door, and drinking buckets of water. And they never seem to rest at the same time. One tries to rest and the other jumps on her, then they switch. When I take friend home (she spends her nights by herself) my dog collapses and sleeps for hours. lol

Olaf is having a quiet weekend as per usual, but next weekend it will be 2 days before his next heart worm shot and so we are taking him to a dog park with a pool. I don't think he will swim, he appears to hate water and sulks if it's raining and won't walk, but it's worth a try. He is VERY hot so he is getting shaved, so he will be really horrible looking for a while. He needs it- he needed shaved when we got him but he was so sick and scared I just cut mats out and bathed him myself. He looks a million times better but he never blew his coat this spring and I think it's because his undercoat is so matted and in bad shape, no amount of brushing has helped. He will be cooler for summer and also can start fresh with a nice coat if we shave him. I'll have to apply sunscreen though, he is pink underneath and can get a sunburn! he isnt really outdoors much so I do t know if it's really that much of a concern. I will post pictures of my hilarious bald Pyrenees, dont worry!
The cats are being assholes as usual, the upstairs 3 are no longer scared of Olaf at all and come down and harass him and my old cat who is the downstairs cat. So lots of growling and stalking. I can't have nice easy animals, that isnt how it works here.
The new guinea pig (long story) is happy as can be eating carrots and running around playing with the cats toy balls. She isn't scared of the cats at all, it's adorable. They are quite unsure of her! Only my downstairs cat is a murder cat so she should be safe and she goes in her cage when unsupervised anyway. I never knew guinea pigs had such big personalities- we are really enjoying her! She has a few health things going on that one vet said may be a hormone deficiency that can't be treated, so I am getting her to another vet for a second opinion but I am not sure how long she will be with us due to that. That vet recommended euthanizing her but she is doing much better now so we will see. She is ours for a while anyway!

Mine is spending the weekend sprawled out in the cool tile floor. I had a banana earlier and gave him a piece and he spit it out and walked away. I swear he is the only picky dog I've ever met, most dogs eat whatever they can get.

No current photos. He's nocturnal and doesn't do photos very well. But the little gecko in our lives is currently asleep upside-down above his shelf, hanging from the ceiling of his vivarium, curled round with his head and his tail end occupying the same space. He'll probably have a bit of a sleep-in, because when the family came round this afternoon he was wide awake down under his rock, looking thoroughly surprised to see everyone, before turning tail and scattering back to the safety of his sleeping place. This is an old photo of him.

My father's dog a suicide best friend. I saw them play together this past week and it was so cute! The black one is my doggie sister Meadow and her bff Noodles. Both are Australian Laberdoodles.

One has been in and out all day long. She thinks she should be outside chasing toys every waking moment. The other one was taken hostage by my 21 yr. old daughter that took off for Missouri to visit her boyfriend. We seem to be in a disagreement about who this dog belongs to. She thinks because he was given to her as a Christmas gift 4 years ago that he is her dog. I keep saying that he's mine because I'm the one that bought him. All kidding aside, he is her dog and she has him out of town. And I miss him!!! Well, and her too. heeheee

This is Tiger. He is the cat that was abandoned by the man who tricked a neighbor that lived at the far end of my street. The neighbor was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He signed his home over to this friend because the friend promised to stay in the house with him and take care of him so he could die at home. Apparently, the friend had other plans. Once all the paperwork was finalized, he put the cancer neighbor into a hospice facility, sold the house, and moved out of the neighborhood, leaving the cat out to fend for himself. The cat started showing up in my front yard, and sucker that I am, I started leaving out food and water. Fast forward a few months, and another neighbor saw the cat sitting on my front porch with me. He told me the above story and the cat's name, Tigre, pronounced "Tee Gray" and meaning Tiger in Spanish. Tigre was promptly moved into the house and was kept separated from my cats until he was wormed, flea treated, and vet checked. He is now in my bedroom with my dog and other cats. This morning, all of my other cats were sprawled out on my bed, as was the dog, while I was on the computer. I got up to go to the bathroom a few minutes ago and discovered that Tigre had done a little remodeling project. To be fair, the screening is very old and probably tore without much effort. I have just put new screening on the two big windows in my bedroom, but haven't put them back into the windows yet. I still need to trim them out. Obviously, I hadn't gotten to the bathroom window yet, and Tigre was just giving me a hand at removing the old screen. The screen material that I bought is the type that is supposed to be the best if you have animals. It is a bit more dense than normal screen material. We'll see if it is any match for Tigre.

This is an old photo of him. We have tokay geckos that hang out on our window screens at night to eat the bugs that are attracted to the lights. The big one is about a foot long and about as big around as my wrist. The rest range in size between tiny babies and the ones we call the teenagers because they are about half the size of the big one. At night, you can hear them calling to each other all over the neighborhood. I hear they eat bugs so we pretty much leave them be, although the cats really, really want to catch that big one.
