We're going to my in-laws for dinner. I have to say I have the sweetest in-laws ever. They know I love seafood - almost any kind - so tonight we're having lobster and since dh doesn't like lobster, he gets a steak. Here's to not cooking tonight!

I think we'll have omelettes tonight. Getting low on some things, DH will probably go grocery shopping tomorrow.

Shake-n-bake pork chops, corn on the cob, baked potato and garden string beans. You win! You have room for a guest? I am hungry and shake n bake pork chops are my favorite. I always had to fight with my family to eat them.

Made (cold) spring rolls with rice paper wrappers filled with lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, avocados and asparagus. Kids loved them and wished I made more! Yum, that sounds delicious. Despite it being hotter than hell here (currently 91 in my house) we're having meatballs, pasta & veggies - only because I got the meatballs out of the freezer and they're already defrosted. I'd much rather be having cold spring rolls.

Taco salad. The Mexican place back home had the greatest sweet dressing for their salads and I've missed it like crazy over the years. But I came across a thread where the peas discussed using French or Catalina dressing on their taco salads and had to give it a try. It was just as good as what I'd been missing for so long! The peas came through again.

I picked up two nieces at the airport who are visiting from Connecticut. They were starving (of course) plus dying to try In-and-Out Burger, so we had burgers and fries at 4:00. Of course I was hungry again at 9:00 PM so I had some leftover chicken veggie noodle soup. The 5yo went to the ball game with my BIL and I didn't even ask what he had to eat there ... I'm sure I would have been frightened to know the answer.
