It's Mallory!! We love her. She's one of the main actors on Studio C. It's a sketch show and it's so, so funny. Look her up. That just makes me want to buy a Purple too just because Mallory says it's perfect. (Just for fun, here's one my favorite Mallory skits: P90X Then there's this one: Pregnant Rap)

We need new mattresses (two twin XL to fit on a split adjustable base), and will likely go one of these routes because of the excellent reviews and easy return/refund policy. DH has DRAMA around mattresses and we need something easy to return.
I hadn't come across purple, but we're looking at Casper, Tuft and Needle, and Helix. All similar concepts. I'd love any pea reviews on those as well as Purple, or similar shipped-direct/100 night no hassle refund companies.
Our current King is a traditional coil and very firm, which is just fine for me. That came after a very soft memory foam bed. DH has back issues and now sleeps on a zero gravity wedge pillow system on top of the mattress, it wasn't the firmness bothering him it turns out. We're hopeful the adjustable bed plus a firmish mattress will be the ticket.

We got ours a couple of weeks ago and really like it.
It took me two days to get used to it (I had injured my back so I was going to be in pain no matter what I slept on), but once I did, I fell in love. My husband has never slept better. It's quite comfortable and definitely more firm than soft, but still cushiony. We never feel each other move and it stays cool, which we love. It took about two weeks for us to receive it and it was worth the wait.
One thing-it's not a ginormous thick mattress. We had an 18 inch one before it and only had a half-height box spring, so now the mattress is pretty low to the ground. Totally not an issue, but we might have to think about a new box spring.

zero gravity wedge pillow system on top of the mattress Tell me more!!! It is similar to this - although this isn't the exact one. Or maybe it is and the price has come down?? Yeah, this thing lives on our bed though, has its own flat sheet that goes over it, bed gets made up over it. It looks like a linebacker is under the comforter. But it helps him not wake up with back or neck pain. www.amazon.com/Contour-Products-Backmax-Wedge-System/dp/B000CA5AG2

We recently purchased a Wink Bed. So comfy, feels a bit like a Hilton or Heavenly Bed. But, a lot less expensive. My husband did a ton of research. I was OK with trying them because they also have a 100 free return period.

I don't have a Purple but just got my Dromma mattress last Thursday. It is along the lines of Casper and Helix. I decided on the Dromma due to it being a 12 inch thick mattress. We have a K, med. firm. I have to say it is great!!
I have Fibromyalgia and some disc herniation in my lower back. For the last several months I have slept just horrible and told DH we HAD to get a new mattress. I was having some pressure point issues with my hips and the mattress was not helping There's really not much that will help the disc situation except for surgery. In the last two weeks my body has hurt worse than ever and I have suffered from this thing for 8-9 years. I will say since Thursday night I have slept better than ever. My youngest DS even commented as he is walking through the house at night to get to the bathroom that our snoring is not as bad. I don't know how the mattress could be affecting that but if it is better then we will think it is the mattress.
I was also worried about this being a memory foam and me being hot. I am in that, ahem, delicate part of womanhood where I just run hot. Add that to summer in the south and a less than well insulated house and nighttime is the worse for me. So far, so good on this mattress. I don't notice it sleeping any different than our other mattress on the heat issue. Oh and I like to read or watch something on my tablet before going to bed or when I wake up early(another sidebar woman issue) on weekends. I would end up having to shift around due to my bottom getting numb. I paid attention to that all this weekend and didn't seem to have any issues with that part of it either. I am SOLD on this mattress. I would tell my oldest DS to get one and replace the horrible full size he has but since he is just getting established on his own, I will wait until he has more money built up in the bank.
It was $949 for a King size and I found a $50 off code that brought it down to $899. After the sticker shock I was getting in the furniture stores on the mattresses that I liked, I told DH we were going to risk it and order it, sleep unslept in, and see what we thought. I love that it is free shipping and we have 200 nights to decide if we like it. If we don't, they will come pick it up and take it to some local charity. There is NO WAY that it is going back in the box it came out of. Should anyone decide to go the Dromma route, let me know. I just got an email with a $75 off code.

Do these various mattresses of which you speak, (Purple, Win, Dromma and there are others) require box springs? If so, are you using what you already have or buying a coordinating one. Purchasing a mattress is so complicated compared to what it used to be.

I know someone bought a mattress rack,(don't really know what it is called) on Amazon and put their mattress on there. If I recall, it is 12 inches high plus the 12 inches of the Dromma and it was the perfect height for her.
