I am kind of new to mascara. I wore it probably 25 years ago in school for a week but never persisted with it. One thing I found with mascara is I need a thin handled wand with a thin brush. The mascara I bought wasn't cheap and if it were available inexpensively I would consider it for sure. I am really happy with the ones I had and went and bought 2 more so I could get one free. Not a great savings but 30% off is still better than nothing right?
So my advice to those who might want it is thin handle thin brush.

I love love love the basic mascara by Revlon. I think it comes in a sort of maroon tube with angled sides? It is a flat brush and thin.
I find the curved fat brushes just make a mess all over my face.
ETA: Of course now that I've tried Googling I can't find it. They must have changed the packaging.

A bunch of my facebook friends are on this 3d mascara kick. I haven't tried it, but they post good reviews.

I like the Maybeline brand with the hot pink tube and the green handle.
