This am I have my annual press and seal photo shoot (mammo). I enjoy being a girl. After that I will try to come up w/a dinner plan. Right now I'm stuck for ideas. Could be Tuscan Bean stew or could be tacos. hmmm....
What's on your menu?
Have a great Wednesday everyone.

Not sure about the main course, but based on the cupcake thread, I'm inspired to have a rootbeer float for dessert!

Good luck with your booby masher, scrapmaven! Leftover chicken pot pie here. Maybe some ice cream with fresh strawberries for dessert.

We had some leftover pork ribs so I made baked beans and added the shredded meat instead of bacon. We having the beans with cornbread and some kind of veggies, which right now I'm leaning towards kale and zucchini.

Grilled pork chops, oven roasted chopped cabbage with bacon pieces, garlic and a little EVOO, grilled broccoli. And maybe a couple baked potatoes for the kids.

We're having pretzel dogs with homemade fries. One of our family faves.

Yes. KelleeM must share. It is a boring Wednesday here! I will have a rotisserie chicken with some sides - maybe just fancy schmancy potato chips. And expensive desserts. I am headed to sew at a fellow quilter's house this evening and we are splurging on takeout from Fresh Mahhhket. Thanks for the thread.

I've got leftovers from the last couple of days -- baked macaroni and cheese and chili lime chicken kabobs. So those will be dinner, along with leftover broccoli and corn off the cob. I may add a green salad if things appear too sparse for appetite satisfaction.

I took out boneless skinless chicken breasts this morning. Not sure what to do with them, but at least I took something out We had beef and rice last night, so maybe pasta, chicken and veggies tonight

Totally off topic, but I know lucyg will see it on this thread and I wanted to thank her ... Based on a recommendation you made a while back (I can't remember which thread) I got and watched the Woman in Gold movie. Oh my goodness, what a great movie! I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned more than I ever knew about the stolen art of that era. Thanks so much!

It's so hot here! So, I made ovenbaked salmon (with garlic and herbs) and couscous (with cashew nuts, sesame seeds, lentils and cucumber). There's no way I would spend a lot of time in the kitchen when it's so darn hot. And watermelon and strawberries for dessert. Did I mention it is hot here?

UGH!! I have had such a week. I should go start a whole separate vent thread. Yesterday I didn't even have time to eat lunch. That never happens. Trust me on this. sooooo ... after oral surgery yesterday and two trips to Costco to drop off/pick up prescriptions and one trip to the post office in between to drop off a package that HAD to be in the mail by 5:00 pm, even though I was supposed to be home icing my jaw ... all of which came after a night of almost no sleep because I was sharing my bed with the 7yo AND my sister, both of whom refused to sleep elsewhere (I almost went and slept in the sewing room myself) followed by a quick bite at Starbucks after taking the 7yo to school and a long drive to the airport to drop off my sister (heavy traffic through the city) AND I got water on my phone before we left and couldn't figure out how to get it out of the Otterbox so I had to stop at the AT&T store on the way home for help ... so then I spent the next half-hour getting my project ready to ship, but literally didn't have an extra few minutes to take it to the PO till after the periodontist, or eat anything either ... then it was time for oral surgery and we've come full circle. Thank you kindly, if you are still with me. And that was just yesterday. But on the plus side ... my sister came to visit, my daughter came to visit, the 7yo survived his trip to Seattle and seems happy, my phone is fine, and my oral surgery really wasn't that bad. So last night I ate leftover mashed potatoes and carrots and gravy. Tonight I will make chicken and veggie soup. And I will try not to be full of complaints tomorrow.

I'm prepping for a yard sale, so I thought ahead and weaved up some bacon and baked it for BLT sandwiches. If you've never tried it, you should...... Bacon Weave Bacon in every bite! I'll probably whip up a tossed salad and I have a big bowl of watermelon chilling in the fridge.

lucyg - #BestRunOnSentenceEver. Wow, seriously - that's nuts. Glad that things are calmer today. I am making salmon marinated in my favorite sauce. Baked potatoes. And broccoli, either with or without cheese. Lisa

scrapmaven, thanks (I guess) for the new term for one our favorite annual activities. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to get that out of my mind. lucyg, sorry you had such a craptastic day. Here's hoping for better days ahead. Tonight is yoga night. DH will fend for himself and I'll have my yoga night dinner...yogurt and fruit.

Tonight is still up in the air. I have had flatbread pizza the last 2 nights but I also have a boatload of Stinky Rose's salad from 2 days ago. I may just bag it all and have frozen pizza. Sometimes you just want to eat crap. Right?

Dh is grilling some pork chops that I found waaaaaay in the back of the freezer ... not sure how they are going to taste because I don't know how long they've been in there ... I'm not very good at labeling things I'll make some sort of salad to go along with them ... another boring dinner that the dd's won't eat I think I'll whip some perogies up for them because I'm feeling giving

DH picked up a sandwich similar to McDonald's McRib for lunch from Walmart. I made nachos for me. Have I said lately how much I 'enjoy' going to Walmart - they charged me twice for a package of ham that I only picked up on ($5.96).....will go back tomorrow and see what they will do for me. Ugh!!!!!!

DD will be studying for finals with a friend tonight (God, I can't wait for them to be over), so it'll just be DH and me for dinner. And seeing as I've had two nights with almost no sleep and will be coming home from physical therapy just in time for dinner, it's a frozen Trader Joe's dinner kind of night. No judging...

I had an appointment in our nearest "city". So, I ran errands and picked up some barbecue and sides from our favorite local place. If you've been barbecuing in the same location for 100 years, it must be good! (It is)
I also stopped by a farm and picked up some squash, broccoli, and berries.

I watched to see the painting when I was in NYC last Christmas but the gallery was closed the day we had open.....it's at the Neue Galerie on the Upper East Side. lucyg - DH had dental surgery yesterday also and I fed him a Hot Turkey Sandwich with lots of mashed potatoes last night.

I just made the mistake twice yesterday of commenting on dh's cooking...once to say he was heavy handed with the pepper (on all of the shrimp) and before that to ask why he's opposed to using the grill. I'll just say Mr. Happy wasn't happy with me.
