I'd lose my mind if any room in my house looked like that!
I love the sentiment. I told DH it was my fault Archiver's closed. Apparently I didn't spend enough money there.

If that is the determining factor I am very very blessed!

Heart attack.
How could you create in that?

I wouldn't be able to do anything in that room. In my house, I would avoid, avoid, avoid. In someone else's, I'd see so much potential. With three young kids, it's nearly impossible for the house to be clean (at least not every room at once), but when part of my house is spotless after being a mess for a long while, my stress is so much lower and my mood so much better. Chaos around me dampers my mood so much.

Someone in a FB group I belong to posted a photo of their scraproom that was very similar to this but it was her real space she said it was where the magic happened LMAO. Yeah more like the room where you are likely to find mouse droppings and a hidden dead kitty.
Rooms like thus just make me itchy.

Heart attack. How could you create in that? LOL. Give me a 12x12 clear space of desktop and I'm good.

This hurts my heart. While a mess for me signals that I am finishing a project, a majority of my room is still organized. Someone just dumps stuff in this room.

This hurts my heart. While a mess for me signals that I am finishing a project, a majority of my room is still organized. Someone just dumps stuff in this room. Right?! It looks less like a crafter's space than it does the space of someone who's given up the hobby and allowed the space to become a dumping ground for the house...all while occasionally buying something just in case she picks the hobby up again. That room is capable of giving someone without anxiety issues a panic attack. I've seen some that are organized with (literally) floor to ceiling plastic drawer organizers stacked around every available wall in the room and even that is too much because it just looked like everything was going to fall down on me. If that works for the person who uses the space, great...but even with my insane amount of supplies, I need to feel like I can move around in my space.

I think there are two kinds of people. My space doesn't look like the picture, but I am a messy scrapper. I posted a pic of my space after a weekend of scrapping on a Facebook group and half the people were horrified and the other half said, "That's just like my space!"
I've been using the fact that I need to support my LSS as a reason to spend lots of money. I'm debating a spending freeze (or at least a diet.) I need to use up some stash! Although thanks to Calvinball and LOAD, I'm doing a lot better. I could still scrap for years without buying anything except adhesive, though.

Oh my goodness, I thought my room was messy, but mine looks wonderful compared to that. I couldn't craft in that room.

That is a panic attack and meltdown scenario for me. I hate chaos. I bet that room would be so pretty if it had a weekend cleanup.

I tend to have panic attacks when I feel claustrophobic (it doesn't need to be stuff, a hot and stuffy environment can cause it, too) and that's how I feel looking at this. In someone else's house, I can leave, but I am stuck in my own home, lol.

This kind of makes me twitch too. I look at it and wouldn't even know where to begin to find things let alone actually create in this space.

I just use my craft area to store stuff now. I don't know where to begin. I plan upstairs. I do want to go through and donate tons and tons of old paper and stuff. Keep all the dies and stamps and paints etc. Lots of the old paper can go. It has to. I want to reclaim my scrap space again!

That pic makes me so sad. In so many ways.
Yes, I know, the text is supposed to be funny. But the pic is real and reminds me why I can't watch hoarder shows.

I think the hoarding we all did years ago caused the buying freezes today which helped kill off a lot of the LSS we supported in the first place.

I would not be able to create in that. But oh to go through and find all the treasures in a room like that~! I'd be afraid that the treasures would no longer be intact. No, I could not scrap in a room like that, either. I think the hoarding we all did years ago caused the buying freezes today which helped kill off a lot of the LSS we supported in the first place. That - and I think there were a lot of people who jumped on the bandwagon at the time because scrapbooking was "in" and was "the thing to do." Although I'm a lot more organized than I used to be, I'm still not as organized as I'd like to be. A lot of that has to do with having more supplies than I'll probably ever be able to use. But I'm in the midst of another purge. I wish I could say it will be my last - but I doubt it. LOL!

I think the hoarding we all did years ago caused the buying freezes today which helped kill off a lot of the LSS we supported in the first place. It's probably a combination or this and fewer people jumping into the crafting world. I'm sure that I easily offset 4 or 5 scrappers in my shopping (of course, I don't pay full price for it, so the margins are slimmer) and I've only been scrapping since 2011.

I couldn't create in such a mess, it would drive me mad. But the part about single-handley keeping craft shops in business is definitely me!
