You need to ask, it can be total or per leg. For instance, for a CrossFit workout, it is usually total unless stated otherwise.

It's just a 4 week plan I found on Pinterest, no way to really ask. OK, I googled "4 week lunges" and it said for a 30-day plan, it can either be 1 lunge = 1 leg or 1 lunge=both legs. You will see benefits from either. So, do whichever you feel you can! Good luck!!
