My saga of the pedometer continues.... I've had Fitbits in the past, two different ones. I hated Fitbit's customer service though. Then I got a Misfit. I liked it okay be then it popped out of the wristband and is gone. Next I tried using my dd's old Nike Fuelband but by then I'd decided I hated having something around my wrist, especially with warmer weather. So then, after reading the recent thread here about Fitbits, I almost decided to get the One. But it's pretty expensive for someone who still thinks she doesn't like Fitbits. lol. So then I browsed around Amazon and I see that there are a ton of very inexpensive ones, like less than $25.00. I read some reviews but I'm never sure if I trust reviews completely. So naturally I'll come here to ask. All I want is a step tracker, and maybe stairs also (but that's not necessary). I just want to keep track of my steps during the day. Oh and I don't want any "gimmicks" -- like for instance the Misfit didn't display steps it used its own point system, so I always had to convert in my head to see how many steps I'd walked. That's math and I hate math. I want mine to just tell me the step total, no special "points" please. Anyone use something they like?

Fit bit makes a nice tracker. They have a wonderful app that I really really like. But their methods of attaching their tracker to your body suck.
I went thru 2 Fitbit charges both fell apart in 9 months. 2 Fitbit ones both fell off and got lost that thing to pop it in is unreliable
So I'm where you are, do I want to spend another 75$ on a Fitbit plus an after market holder because their's sucks?
Grrrrr

I've had several that were freebies from various events--none seem to work well. When I walk for exercise, I use my phone and the Sports Tracker app. I love this app--it calc distance, will gps route, calc calories, calc speed over time worked out.

Misfit has developed a new tracker that's much more secure than the shine. It's a bracelet, which I know you don't prefer, but less clunky than a fuelband. Misfit RayThere is a gorgeous bracelet you can get for the Ray. You'd never know its a fitness tracker. Ray Bracelet

If you watch "Criminal Minds" you see how Spencer Reid wears his watch over his sleeve? That would be me if I had to wear a watch. lol -- I forced myself to wear the Misfit on my wrist for awhile, then switched to the little clip-on thing when I couldn't stand it anymore. lol

I've had at least 8-10 different cheap pedometers before and they never last. Most are made really cheap. I have had my fitbit zip for what seems like forever. Yeah, it's a fitbit tho.
