How can I change that? DD had to buy a new phone today and now all of my contact info is changed. Example: DS's coach sent me a text asking a question. His number is there but the name has disappeared. DH was in mine by his first name. Now it says "Dad," which is confusing since my dad was in my contacts as "Dad."
Is there a way to switch it back? So annoying.

What kind of phones are we talking about? If they're iPhones, my guess would be something in the family sharing settings.

So annoying. How did she set up the new phone? Did she restore from a back up of her old phone? How did she sign in to Apple? Is she using your Apple ID for anything on her new phone? Somehow apple thinks her new phone is connected with your Apple ID or your phone is connected to her Apple ID and has synced your phones. I'm not sure if you will be able to get your contacts back, but you need to unhook the two phones before you go in and start correcting your contacts or you will change hers and then her changes will come back to you, etc.

This happened to me and DD too. At one point we had a glitch where her calls came to my phone too if we were on the same wifi.
Try having her create her own Apple ID. If you have family account on the iTunes Store, she can still buy apps/music from the account.

Everyone who has an iPhone should have their own Apple ID. If you are old enough for an iPhone, you are old enough for your own Apple ID.

She created her own Apple ID, so hopefully that will take care of it. I will just have to go in and change the contact info.

They are iPhones. Sorry about that. Should have included that info. This happened to us last week. Call apple support. They were awesome and helpful. Don't go to a store they cannot help you there and direct you to go online to apple support.

I got my husband's contacts when he put my ID on his phone. I have no idea why. I am sure he couldn't remember his password. Ours was an easy fix.
