I use my circle/scallop punches the most, for creating journaling spots. I also use my tab punch to create a base for small embellishment clusters.
After that, my star punches. I have 3 or 4 sizes. They are good for when you need a little something more on a page.
For border punches, I hardly use them except for scallop and wave punches.

I have a punch with 2 little pine trees that I use quite a bit, probably more than I use my flower punches. Here's a quick card that I made using it just yesterday. Attachment DeletedAlso I use tags, hearts and stars. I still love my CM squares and circles that have graduated sizes. They're great for making embellishments. A tab punch is on my wish list, but every time I start to buy one, I think I should use my Silhouette instead. But then every time I want a tab, I don't feel like using the Silhouette. Aaah, the dilemmas of a crafter...

Circles are about the only ones I use ow - to cut out circle embellishments faster than finding a die or using my Cameo. I have a few border punches left but I'm planning to sell those.

Get one. I wasn't sure if I would use one much either but it has become one of my most used punches along with my photo corner punch. And so much easier than using a machine. Thanks for your answers everyone.

I have a tag punch that I've probably used hundreds of times in the last few months! I was moving and made price tags for garage sale items - lots and lots of price tags! People would peel off stickers, but it was a lot more difficult to remove a tied on tag. In the new place, I use the tags and baker's twine to tie labels on baskets, boxes, canvas drawers in the Expedits, Elfa drawers...pretty much everything. That way I can change the labels easily when I rearrange things and I can tuck them away if I don't want them showing. Oh yeah, I also use it to make gift tags and paper crafts...

I really use my tab punch a ton. Other than that I use basic shapes the most, circles, squares, a small heart, and an arrow punch.

Border punches hands down. I use a border punch on almost every layout or card I make. I find they make layering more interesting.

Pretty much the only ones I use are a large square punch and my corner rounder.

That's really cute oaksong and i can see how that punch would come in handy often. It adds some great texture! I use various circles - 1/2" all the way to 2". I have them going up in 1/4" increments. These are my most used. So much so that I just replaced a few that were the old button-type punches that were getting tough for me to punch. I replaced them with the Fiskars ones that are the squeeze kind. Love those. Lots of star and hearts. I have both in traditional shapes and primitive, in several sizes. I also have a cloud punch I use a lot. I still use a scallop border punch quite a bit. It really comes in handy on cards.

I have several hundred and use lots of them. I have 5 different sizes of star punches and those are probably the most frequently used punches.

I have a couple that punch slots into the corners of my card stock mats in order to hold any photos in place that I don't want to use adhesives on. They're great for all my older photos and one of a kind photos. like this

I have said over and over: They will have to pry my notebook edge punch out of my cold, dead hands. So obviously I use my notebook edge a lot. I have a scallop border I still use often. I don't use many borders though. Shapewise I would say I use circles: regular, scallop and pinked; hearts; stars and butterflies. I do also have a banner (triangle) punch which is pretty handy, as it can just be used as a triangle. I could also see buying that Martha Stewart frond punch, but I don't own it myself (yet)...and like oaksong I want a cloud punch...even 2 because they come in different sizes. I do own a Cameo, but punches are just so darned fast and easy!

This thread is dangerous. I love my notebook edge punch from ek success. It is one of my most used punches along with my McGill file tab punch and my Stampin' Up Heart to Heart punch. I don't have too many, but for me, punches are much more convenient than dies or a machine.

Scalloped circles, circles, corner punches, & butterflies. I just bought the EK Success mason jar punch. I love that punch more than I thought I would. I am using that punch a lot right now.

Martha Stewart 1" scalloped circle punch is my hands down most used punch. I love to stamp little images on scraps of pp or cs and punch. It makes an instant embellishment. I also have several butterfly punches in varying sizes that I use often. And I have three circle punches (3", 1.5", & 1") that get used pretty often.

When I did my purge, I got rid of almost all of my border and corner punches. I kept almost all of my shape punches. And like many others have posted, circles in all sizes and stars seem to get used the most.
I did pull out a number of smaller punches (arrow, flag/banner, star, heart and, of course, circles) and put them with my planner supplies. They are getting a lot of use now.

I ove the mason jar shape, but I'm not sure how to incorporate it onto my pages. I have this punch too. I just think of it as an oval-ish shape and take it from there. I have a mason jar stamp that is roughly the same size that I like to stamp and then punch out with the punch.
