Seriously...#15! I now do not know one other person who has been called as much as I have. I am only 44!! What gives?! I felt like I just had jury duty and remembered posting about it on here about who else has had a ridiculously high amount of summons. I searched for my thread and found it was 14 months ago I served.
I am very proud we have juries. It's an American right. I am grateful for the search engine which proved I didn't just have it like I really thought.
Bright side...this board keeps track of my life more than the calendar on my phone.
Thanks for listening!
What's the Guinness Record for jury summons?

Wow! I'm your same age and I've been called twice. However, I have moved several times and lived overseas for 4 years, so maybe they couldn't find me! Have you been living in the same place all those years?

I've moved 5 times since my first summons. They have all been in different cities, 3 different counties, same state. I am a teacher and I think that's why I keep getting called. However, no one I work with has ever been called more than 2 or 3 times at the most!

I served on a jury about 6 months ago (the first time I was called and actually able to respond) - I loved it and would like to serve again but agree it can be disruptful

Wow. That does sound like a lot. I've only been called once. I was nursing my oldest at the time - 16 years ago - and was able to defer but they never called me again... I actually hope I get called now and then. Not 15 times but I would like to serve and it would not be that disruptive in my current life situation. I'm a part time, salaried employee with a flexible work schedule and teenage children, one of whom can drive. Now watch - I'll get called the week of my cruise.

I was called when 8 months pregnant. My doctor wrote me a medical excuse because he didn't want me sitting still that long. I got called again when I was nursing and dd was too young even for daycare. I haven't been called since. DH has served twice.

I have been called twice but never had to serve. Call me crazy but I don't want to serve. At all. My employer doesn't pay for jury duty leave and I can't go without being paid. My kids have certain bus schedules and dh leaves for work at 5:30am. It would be a pain in the ass. I will if I am forced to but I really don't want to!
My coworker once was called and was still in the running to serve on a really bad murder trial. They anticipated it would last 6 weeks. He was terrified that he would be chosen because he couldn't go without pay for 6 weeks. It would ruin his family financially. He made a desperate plea to the judge when there was only 2 extras left. The judge then cut him. He was so stressed for those few days. I felt so bad for him.

I get called every other year, and this has been the pattern for many years. It's that time again...

I get called all the time but they never actually want me on a jury (too many law enforcement connections). I bet I've been called 15 times, too, but I'm a lot older than you. (I actually have served on a couple of juries, but not for many years now.)
