I think that my sil is taking my boys to dinner. So, that means leftovers for dh and an easy night for me. Ta-da.
What's on your menu?
Have a great Tuesday everyone. I hope you have lots of smiling to do today.

Easy night for me too. I took turkey slices in gravy and some mashed potatoes out of the freezer, so all I have to do is prep the vegetables and sweet potatoes and toss 'em in the oven. Add canned jellied cranberry sauce and some rolls, and it's dinner. ETA: I misread the label and my turkey slices in gravy are really roasted pork slices in gravy. But, pork is the other white meat, so it's all good.

scrapmaven -- answering your question from the other day while I was away, my tooth issue is soooo much better. I'm still being careful with what I chew on that side of my mouth, but am able to eat a lot more comfortably now. Thanks for asking! You'd think we'd be over grilling and barbecuing after a pig pickin' weekend, but we never managed to get a hot dog the whole time we were there and we both have a hankering, so tonight it's grilled hot dogs, baked beans, pickles, chips, etc. for us Maybe some strawberry-covered ice cream for dessert.

We're having panko crusted salmon with broccoli. It's going to be a hot one today, so we'll have ice cream with strawberry sauce for dessert.

Cobb salad sounds really good naby64! I don't know if my husband will go for it but, he is going out of town later this week so that may be an option later.
Tonight we are either having grilled chicken or tacos. It all depends on whether or not I have time to get to the store.

We were going to have shrimp and avocado salad but now DH is taking our son to a baseball game with friends, so I will likely just have leftover lasagne rollups. I may be exciting and make a coconut curry dish and try to have it ready so they can eat something before they go to save a little money, lol. Ballpark food is so expensive!

I too think Cobb salad sounds fantastic. YUM! Maybe if I can get to the store for blue cheese ... naby64The reality is, I still have that chicken to deal with, so just like last night ... something with that. Maybe the curry. LOL

The pork loin chops I envisioned for last night will be cooked tonight, along with the grilled veggies. I got home late, and BF had tacos ready last night. Yea!

No more playoffs for us this year, youngest ds won the finals! Yeah!
Tonight I have to fold and put away the 3 loads of laundry I didn't get to last night, plus do the mountain of ironing I've not done in over a week. Which means, a quick dinner of tilapia tacos is on our menu for tonight.

Dh has to show a bunch of houses beginning at 5pm tonight ... he's a realtor and sometimes his schedule cuts right into dinner time Dd#1 requested cheese quesadillas the other day so that's what I'm making ... plain ones for the dd's and I'll ad some grilled peppers and onions to mine and dh's when he gets home

Update, I just remembered it's primary Election Day here in California, which means election returns on TV tonight. I like to order pizza and watch the coverage. So you'll probably be hearing about chicken AGAIN tomorrow. ha ha

I have been in Vegas (baby!) since Thursday, so I have been MIA from the thread. I took the kids, and we stayed at a resort with lots of restaurants in it, including a food court and a Starbucks. We ate at Cheesecake Factory once and got room service once in addition to the buffet and other assorted meals out. I have dear friends up there who are actually starting a church there. I know, "starting a church in Vegas, wow!" But yes, they are. And I go up when they have an event and help out and hang with my friends there. Sunday, we went to a BBQ and swimming at our friend's house, which was lovely. So I combined the busyness of the trip with a great time with my kids. I wanted them to connect with my friends as well, which they did - it was like they had all known each other for years. So it's back to reality tonight. But I think that I am getting BOGO pizza from my fave local pizza place. So I will be putting off cooking one more night! It is massively hot here. Lisa

We had a couple of errands to run this a.m. (Walgreens and Walmart). It is so hot outside that a hot meal was not for us SO we had tomato sandwiches. I love tomato sandwiches in the summer time.

I've just triple washed some romaine, kale, and red leaf lettuce (local). I'm planning a large dinner salad. I had considered a Cobb, but I have no avocado. We will probably have strawberry ice cream for dessert.

Salmon and assorted leftovers as sides. I'm not that hungry tonight, so I'll just have toast.
