Who's excited for Summer? Me! ☺ With Summer time and vacation season on the way, let's talk travel themed supplies and projects. What supplies do you have and love, or have on your wish list? I'd also love to see your travel projects.
We're leaving for our annual big vacation pretty soon and I'm trying to gather supplies for a family project. I'm bringing a traveler's notebook with an insert for each family member, some pens, glue sticks, and washi. I'm hoping to add some fun stamps, stickers, or ephemera but can't quite decide.

I was excited to find 2 kits and some stickers in the gift shops at Yellowstone. I also bought some note cards and cards there and have a pile of momentos 8 inches high. Now if I could get motivated to edit my pics.

Have been trying to resist buying the summer lines this year. Love both Bo Bunny and Carta Bella outdoorsy/camping lines. I think one of them is "Take a Hike". Don't think we will be joining anyone to camp this year, and I have tons of that type of stuff from past years.
Always on the lookout for papers & extras to scrap kids doing kid stuff outside: bikes, and playground equipment, and nature walks. And amusement parks: haven't seen anything with ferris wheels and that kind of thing for a few years. I know we will be going to at least a couple of country fairs with grandkids.
And my supplies of baseball themed and western themed elements are getting low. Our oldest dgs plays baseball and we usually spend SOME time at the diamonds. Think we will be at the Calgary Stampede in July. Anyone know where I can get some of that?
Got KC "Ol' Mac" this spring, and love it for farm related pages. Can always use more of that, as we don't go on a lot of summer vacations, but most of the grandkids will be here at different times in the summer. They like to do things outside and ride on Grampa's tractor.
I would love if someone came out with a lake beach line rather than all the ocean and palm tree stuff: we all don't live by the coast, and can't all go to the tropics every year!
Golfing is another area I have not seen much to scrap with. I picked up a fun stamp and die set last year with a golf cart on it, and have some stamps and stickers sets with golf balls on them, but there doesn't seem to be alot. Neither dh nor I golf, but all our sons do and some of the grandkids.
I picked up Carta Bella "Old World Travel" to help scrap my trip in the fall.

This line is on my want list as well!! We went to Sedona right after school let out at the end of May and I'm excited to scrap this trip cause we went with all my brothers and sisters and their families. This trip I'm gonna use Simple Stories Summer Vibes line! We have a camping trip and a trip to San Diego planned and I've been putting all kinds of outdoor and beach themed kits in my cart. I'm loving Carta Bella's Great outdoors line! And Bo Bunnys take a hike is abother one I'm looking at. As for a beach line, I haven't found one that I absolutely love. Echo parks summer party is cute, but I'm not in love with it! The only part about Summer time that sucks is there is less time to scrap cause of all the trips, activities, birthdays, fathers day, 4th of July, and all the other family stuff I got going on! Once school starts back at the end of July then I can get back to scrapping. In the meantime I will be content to take pictures and shop!!

I bought this set of embellishments from Kaisercraft's Captured Moments at my LSS. Kaisercraft has a line called Sandy Toes and another called Coastal Escape, but they are ocean-y. I bought some for my vacation to Victoria, BC, but a lot of it wouldn't work for lakes like grammadee said.

We have springs here not ocean beaches so similar issues

I would love some beach papers etc... in water/sand colours...with seashells and the like...not just the bright vibrant sandpails/ice lollies/beach balls. More tranquil less LOUD.
Would love a water park/pool line also - there was one years ago that was great in blues and turquoises.

For my summer pages this year, I picked up Elle's Studio June kit today ($10 today, $12 after today) I also picked up this stamp, part of the traveler's notebook class at Citrus Twist: Finally, I got a few items from the Happy Glamper kit, because it was so darling. Not sure what I'll do with it yet:

It might not be quite what you're looking for but it's been one of my favorite Summer lines I've seen recently. The colors are a bit more toned down and there's some fun design elements.

Thanks, myboysnme ! Just took a virtual stroll through this site, and I can see there are a lot of themes there that I would like to collect: baseball, golf, lake... Can't order this month: spent way too much already on scrappy stuff. But I will definitely get back to Scrap Your Trip in a month or two. Does anyone know if DCWV still puts out a pad with natural backgrounds--water, grass, sand? Or where to get one if they are no longer being printed?

I have the new Carta Bella Great Outdoors, and I love the colors! Even if you're not a fan of the retro character illustrations, there aren't that many of them, and the paper designs are just gorgeous. MME Happy Camper is also really pretty, with softer colors and a southwest vibe. We just did a 2-week tour of DC, Williamsburg, Monticello and Asheville. Before we left, I out together a traveler's notebook kit with an Americana theme from my stash. Lots of 7Gypsies, Authentique, LittleB washi. However, between the jetlag and our busy schedule, I barely used it. It's not something I've done before, and next time I would plan a little more structure ahead of time, and make sure I journal at least something every day. I saw a woman in the cafeteria at the Smithsonian diligently updating her traveler's notebook. I'm going to do a scrapbook of the trip instead. Here is the kit I made. Really ambitious, ha!

We do a beach vacation every year, so I am constantly out on the prowl for fun water paper. I probably have 15 lines from previous years that I use for layouts until the paper is gone. I order 3-5 more every year. I do like scrap your trip, but there are so many lines that go with summer that don't say summer that can be used. The Bo Bunny Beach and Cruise line was one of my favorites this year.

Tuesday morning had cute flat paper embellishments that were for summer that would be perfect in a journal. I threw out the packaging, but they were the bright summer themed embellishments they often have for sale lately.

oaksongI love the kit you put together! I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to use it, though. Has anyone seen any cute stamps to use for the traveler's notebooks?

Oh no. In my searching through all the great travel lines I came across Pink Paislee's Atlas. I've been searching everywhere tonight and can't find a shop that carries more than a few items. Let me know if you know where I can find this, especially the ephemera pack.

They had the puffy stickers a while back. It's a pretty line.
