He was in a league of his own. As a baseball fan I equate this loss to hockey as to when Hank Aaron and Willie Mays passes away to baseball.

When I told DH, he asked me "are you sure?" He's a hockey fan, grew up playing it and counted him among his idols in his childhood despite being born after he retired for good.

As a Detroit native, he was a a giant to me. Mr. Hockey indeed.
