Help the slow girl please... is there a free or almost free way to turn 2 photos into 1 4x6 for printing purposes that doesn't require a smartphone?

This is a good question! I definitely use my iphone and apps for that, but if I couldn't, I would make a new word document with 0" margins at 4x6 and add two photos and resize them to 3x4 each. It's a wonky method, but if I couldn't use a smartphone that's how I would do it! You may also be able to use picmonkey and I poked around a bit, but I couldn't figure out how to get it to 4x6.

Where do you get your photos printed? Many of them have "collage" options that allow you to add more than one photo to a print.
I used to be able to do that with my old Canon Selphy printer. Know anyone who has one?

Thanks guys ellewood - I'll look into PicMonkey and see if that'll work for me. If not, Word it is grammadee - I use Shutterfly, Snapfish, and Walmart - I'll dig around and see if they offer the collage option. I don't know anyone local who scraps or even prints photos - everyone seems to just take phone photos and share online.

I don't order on line from them, but I know you can get the collage function at the kiosk.

Help the slow girl please... is there a free or almost free way to turn 2 photos into 1 4x6 for printing purposes that doesn't require a smartphone? This is much easier than my instructions. You can do 2, 3 4 or as many as you want really. Download Picasa 3. Edit your photos . Then at the top click on Create then from the drop down menu choose Picture Collage. Then on the left will be Settings tab. Choose Mosaic:Automatically fit pictures into the page. Choose the orientation (you will switch back and forth depending on orientation). Then switch to the Clips tab. Here are your photos. You can add to them by getting them from the library tab. All of them will be highlighted so click in a blank space on the left to unhighlight them. Then you drag the ones you want back and forth. When it looks like you want, click Create Collage down at the bottom left. Then click export bottom center. Then you go back and edit the collage, drag the pictures out and put new ones in. If you don't export before you edit you will lose that one. Now if you want you can change orientation of photo like to turn it sideways to fit with another one by clicking on that photo in the college and it will say view and edit. You then turn the photo and go back to the collage. It wont fit so drag it out, then drag it back in and it will reorient to fit. Let me know if you have problems. Also if you want the originals not in a collage then export all of them from the library after you edit them, then do the collage. Otherwise you won't have the originals saved as individual photos. I often don't care and you can always later edit the saved collage to just one of the photos.

I also use Photosheet, Linda . You just choose the layout/collage you'd like and there are a lot to choose from. 4x4, 3x4, 3x3, polaroid size, PL size, and you can get 5x7s and larger made into collages. It's awesome and I use it all the time. You just drag your pictures to the box and they show up on the collage. Then you save them somewhere on your computer (I usually create a folder for these on my desktop to make it easy) and then upload to your printing site of choice.

Photosheet! So easy and takes no time at all. Drag and drop, pick your size, save to file and send to print. <3 it!

I recommend Photosheet for ease of use. I do use picmonkey for lots of things, however, I feel photosheet is easier for collaging prints. I use it all the time for printing pictures on my Selphy. You can adjust borders (I like white borders on my pictures).

I like fotor! It's a free app for both smartphones and mac computers (not sure about windows). The collage options are really easy and intuitive, and they have cool filters / edits too.
