I bruise really, really easily because I have a low platelet count. So easily that I don't even notice at the time until I develop a humongous bruise and have to figure out where it came from.
If I don't know at the time I can't put ice on it. What can I do to make them go away?

Thanks I'll check those out.
They don't actually hurt, but they are all up my arms and I look like I've been beaten up. Fed up with the stares - and so is DH, lol.

Another recommendation for Arnica. I also take the pill form after I have surgery,. A plastic surgeon suggested that I take it.

I also have low platelets and my doctor recommended NOT using Arnica cream as it can interact with blood thinners. My understanding is that Arnica causes then blood not to clot which is already an issue if you have low platelets.
It sucks. Mine are mostly on my legs and makes wearing shorts difficult. If it's really hot I just say screw it and wear them anyway.

Where can you buy this? I have trouble making it through doorways and bumping into furniture. My arms look dreadful now. I catch the handle with my skin all the time. It is so frustrating.

I use Hirodoid cream. But if you have a medical condition which affects coagulation, I wouldn't take anything without checking with your dr.

But yes, check with your GP first.

Pineapple and pineapple juice helps with bruising, but I don't know if it might affect blood thinner, so again, ask your doctor.

I use Hirodoid cream. But if you have a medical condition which affects coagulation, I wouldn't take anything without checking with your dr. I don't think they get that in the US. I think it's only an Australia/NZ cream. My recommendation, that would be available there, is arnica cream.
