I haven't received my Nuvo crystal drops in gloss yet, but I was just wondering if the drops could be used to cover unfinished chipboard shapes.
If they turned out gloss, looking like they were coated with enamel, I might actually use them.

I haven't tried mine for that. Thinking you might have to use a white paint undercoat?
You were talking in another thread about arrows and stars. I have written words with them, and done a few shapes. The filled in shapes (hearts, stars) transferred well from wax paper, but the thinner lines didn't hold together well. I would suggest making your shapes or words right on your card or page, or on acetate, then attaching that to your project.

That's a great idea! We could even sketch a shape on white cardstock, fill it in (for those of us who are free-hand impaired) and then cut it out with the paper backing. It would give the same look.

Trying the cb thing now. Have a FabScraps cb bicycle. Just put black on the tires. The black covered okay.
When that dries, I will add red to the body, and then silver to the spokes and handlebars, etc. This will take some time to dry between colours. Will share when I have it finished--whether it works or not.

I have attached a photo of the page I did this morning with the Nuvo drops painted cb bike. They covered okay, and the fine lines of the spokes were pretty easy to do. Not as smooth as I thought it might be, but to have that you would need to use ALOT of product. I also wrote a word in the title and did a little line below the bike in copper. You can find it on Flickr HEREAttachments:

Thanks for sharing that! Great job, I love how the bike turned out. It makes me happy that I didn't get rid of all my chipboard, and now I think I need to get some Nuvo Drops!

Your layout as a whole? Love it! It really tells the story.

They sell them in sets or individually. There is another thread HERE where there are lots of different options for where to buy. I used "gloss" ones on the bike. There are also some pearlescent ones, more like Perfect Pearls.
