The garden is still too wet to hand weed. Hoping I can find the veggies by the time it is dry enough!
I have been doing some scrapping the last few days. But yesterday it seemed I spent more time LOOKING for stuff than actually using it, so sadly, I think the time has come to restore some order to this room.
While I am sorting through the stash spread all over the counters (and every other horizontal space), I think I will do something I seldom do: put together some kits for next weekend. Next Saturday, I have been invited to a small 12-hour crop near my dd's home. Don't want to take the whole house, so thinking I can take page kits--or sets of photos with related papers, etc, each different set in a big ziplock bag.
That way, as I find things, I can put them right into the bag.
If I have time to create during the week, I can do something else, or simply grab a bag and start from there.
Wondering what you are up to today? Anything crafty?

I spent yesterday in my craft room avoiding the 90 degree temps. It was not fun but it needed to be done so I spent hours putting away stamps and dies from my last mega card making session. Now that I can find the top of my table, I hope to actually craft today. First on the agenda is encouragement cards to be used by an organization that serves the victims of domestic violence. grammadee, I take card kits when I'm attending crops. For me, it's so much easier to think through a design at home and then pull together all my supplies for that design than to try to drag my whole craft room to a crop.

I too spent yesterday putting stuff away and organizing. Got to look at some stash I hadn't seen for awhile, and got me into the mood to scrap today! Gotta run and errand and then I'm coming home to finish up a page I've been working on and put some page kits together!

I cleaned mine for three hours last weekend, so it is ready to mess up again. I think my boys are all going to the lake today, so I might wander in and get a few layouts finished.

You know those "grow a dinosaur" kits? Where you put this little capsule in a glass of water and it grows and grows? I even made a page about them awhile ago...
Well, my scraproom organization plan started to turn into that. The more I organized, the more there was to do.
So, completely demoralized, I am getting OUTTA HERE!!! The only remotely productive thing I did for next Saturday is sort my photos and make a list of titles I might use. Oh yeah, and throw some stuff I MIGHT use into a small tub.
AND, and I STILL have not found the stuff I was looking for yesterday, and have probably lost stuff I just had but will want to use tomorrow...

Sorry your space has gotten so out of hand, grammadee. I hate it when that happens! I hope you find what you're looking for. It's been a busy day for me. Got up early to make pasta salad, had breakfast with my nephew, went to church, and then the annual church picnic afterwards, and it's only 1:00. I'm taking a nap, then I'm going to spend the day in my studio. I'm taking the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 class, so I'm going to play with stains and inks. I also have some paper left from the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit for June, so I might work on that. These are both new undertakings for me. I've always been intimidated by stamping and mixed media. This is really taking me out of my comfort zone, and I'm enjoying it all.

It's a long weekend here so I'm definitely making some time to play. I helped my SO yesterday with a presentation he is giving at the national conference this week so after 5 hours (!) I rewarded myself with some creative time. I made two layouts yesterday and hope to do some catch up on my PL today. I have to force myself to do some cleaning and errands first then hope to spend the rest of my afternoon playing.

In the ten minutes before work this morning, I finished a layout (added the two more stickers it needed), put that away in the right album; and put four drawings from my sons in page protectors and in my album.
I also found the next set of photos I am going to work on.
But work whooped my heiny today, and I doubt I'll scrap tonight.

I haven't done anything today except drink tea and shop online. I loved every minute of doing nothing. I'd love to scrap tomorrow after I run a few errands. I have a fresh stack of pictures and a few new collections calling my name.

My mom is in town so we are visiting. But I did manage a trip to Mike's for a new basket to organize my thickers. Happy to have that done.

the only crafty thing I did today was shop Busy, busy day! Older DD had horseback riding at the crack of dawn (leaves at 6am, rides from 630-830, home at 9) and then we had to take her out to buy a giftcard. We all had lunch out and then dropped her at her BF's grandparents about 30 min. away for his birthday party (1-8p) then drove 2 hours to drop the little one off at Girl Scout camp for the week. Drove into the city between there and us - hit Joanns (cardstock pack, DCWV Fresh floral stack), Tuesday Morning (Echo Park Playground, Shimelle true stories pad, We R Memory Keepers Cake and Candle pad, and MAMBI birthday kit - oh and a gorgeous teapot!), Traders Joes (crumpets!!!), and Michaels (for a frame for DH but I found some jolees - Japan and Hummingbirds). Super haul day! Then drove back to town, grabbed dinner at Firehouse subs, drove the 30 minutes to pick older DD up. Storms rolled in as we were leaving Firehouse... Tomorrow = housework and then hopefully Tuesday I can scrap. I did make 5 cards late last night (which I wrote letters in - one each for M-F - and left at camp to be given daily to DD) and I put in a photo order tonight that DH can pick up tomorrow at WM - does that count?

I ordered some goodies online, but that was it. I drove home from a girls' weekend two hours away, had diner with my inlaws, and grocery shopped. Then I lay down with my iPad.

I didn't do any actual scrapping today (I did a double page layout yesterday tho!) instead I went to a tailgate sale held at a LSS. I'm very happy to say I came home with 2 new alpha dies sets. $10 for a sizzix Curlie Girlie that was still unopened in it's original packaging!!! And $20 for a Stampin' Up set that I don't remember the name of (it's upstairs and I'm not) but it was a very classic block type that will be very useful. I also snagged a couple of full collection packs for $3 & $5 and 2 more border punches as well. Alas, no TAB punch that the other thread has me believing I have to have. LOL.
I don't get much time to play during the week so my goodies will have to wait until next weekend to be used.

linda, wow, that's a lot of driving and running. Glad you got to at least get some goodies. Yesterday was cleaning and clearing. I was cleaning the pantry shelves. They get out of whack so quickly. Got through 3 shelves will do the rest later after I get liners. Then we wored on clearing the pool area to set it up. The area has to be enlarged which the boys worked on and DD & I worked on getting all the rocks out of the sandy area and smoothing. When we called it quits I made allergy-free penne with Italian sausage, peas and a creamy tomato vodka sauce for dinner. One of DH's favorite dishes non-AF, so I thought I'd try to make it allergy friendly. His birthday is this Saturday and Father's day is Sunday, so I will try to make a few more dishes that I know he especially likes this week. Today, I have to run to town for a couple of errands. Then if it doesn't rain, we'll probably work on the pool area some more. Tomorrow (Tuesday) I hope to be able to clean off my craft desk and to finish a layout that is now buried there.

I hope to get a few cards made today! I made a huge stash of bases using old SU cardstock and 6x6 pads. When the mood hits I finish a few at a time with stamping and embellishments.
