The only reason I can find for this happening is someone had such a hatred of another entire group of people that they used religion to justify violence against that group.Holy crap...totally wrong thread.

What happens to teenagers since of smell? I swear it vanishes from 10 to 20 years old. I have 3 boys and even with my rule of no food or drinks in their room, they still sneak stuff in there, then can't find the right time to sneak the dishes back out. Lol
My absolute worst experience along this line did make me throw up right on the spot. My much older brother had moved his room to our basement in his later teen years. I was of course forbidden to ever go in there by him and turned out to be a blessing. One day my mom needed something that was in his room and told me to go get it as she was having trouble with stairs at the time.
As soon as I got close to the door the smell was worse than a skunk and about knocked me down when I opened the door. I could see no reason for the smell, not a lot of dirty clothes or dishes and not real messy. There was a lot of coke cans and bottles sitting on the floor on the other side of his bed. They were full of pee. I'm talking like 20 or more full. I threw up on the spot. My mom heard me and painstakingly made it down the stairs and booted up her lunch too! There's no bathroom downstairs so my brother used whatever was handy to go in and had not thrown them out in WEEKS. I had no idea pee could smell worse with time, or maybe it was whatever it was mixed with. Now, I'm very sensitive to that smell. Yuk!!

Oh I know.. general rules are to clean up after yourself. But it happens. Generally I would be getting onto to her but in this case she was at work and I wasn't going to sit next to it either. blech. I remember being that same age and my mom upset with me about the same stuff.... She does normally keep it half way decent, but again she is a teen and she will try to get away with whatever. But I suppose there are those perfect kids out there mind their parents and who wouldn't dream of leaving a dirty dish in their room You must be talking about me, LOL. I grew up with an older brother that would leave nasty dishes of rotting crap in his room, and would end up getting stuck having to help my mom clean up his mess every time she's kick his lazy butt out. (FTR, his bathroom was MUCH worse! ) The result of that was that I never ever brought food or dishes up to my room. Now that I'm a parent, we don't give our kid the option of eating anywhere but in the kitchen, and for the most part DH and I eat in the kitchen too. It would drive me nuts having to constantly chase down my dishes and silverware.
