The joke at my MIL's house, and used to be when DH cooked was that everyone knows when dinner is ready because the fire alarm is going off.

The joke at my MIL's house, and used to be when DH cooked was that everyone knows when dinner is ready because the fire alarm is going off. Same at our house when my beloved cooks. He likes things cremated.

He likes things cremated. My family too! They call it blackened, I won't say what I call it Fortunately DH has been interested in learning how to really cook so our food doesn't suffer as much before it makes it to our plates.

Ha I had a friend who they said they knew it was Thanksgiving when the stove was on fire and the fire alarm went off. (for some reason my friends Mom roasted the turkey in a brown paper bag.. like a grocery store sack... and it always caught fire)

(for some reason my friends Mom roasted the turkey in a brown paper bag.. like a grocery store sack... and it always caught fire) This is how my mom and granma did it, but I don't remember any fires. Just moist, delicious goodness. Perhaps it has to do with the placement of the heating element.
