Ugh. Made the appt for the earliest possible time. 8:45.
No eating, drinking, smoking or rock and roll until blood work.
My morning routine is askew!!

For me it's no Diet Coke.
BUT I am excited to get labs as I have lost nearly 40 pounds in nearly 15 weeks.
My cholesterol should be way better and I doubt I am pre diabetic!

I had to get blood work the other day but the earliest appointment they could give me was 10:30! Thankfully it was the first day of my summer break, so I slept it.

I hate doing that, too, and sometimes I can't get in till 10ish. NOT fun. I just tell the Dr. that my tummy alien may wake up during my exam.

My doctor won't do bloodwork until the end of the exam. I always tell him that I'm starving. Last week, I took an energy bar and started eating as soon as they did the draw. The nurse commented that they more people wanted coffee than food.

I always do my blood work the week prior to my doctor visit. They put in the lab order and I stop by and get a blood draw and give urine on my way to work. That way I get my results at the appointment and we discuss any issues.

Ugh. Made the appt for the earliest possible time. 8:45. No eating, drinking, smoking or rock and roll until blood work. My morning routine is askew!! For bloodwork, it's usually ok to have water. In fact, it's typically recommended, since being a bit dehydrated can make for a tougher draw. Obviously it's a different situation if you're having surgery or something where your stomach must be empty.

I couldn't take it anymore. I am unable to sleep in past 6 due to habit.
I came early and will sit and stare at them intently until they let me in!!!
There is a holiday station right next door to the clinic. Exam. Blood. Run to car. Speed to fountain diet coke. Snarf down my seattle sutton breakfast in car while driving to work!!!
I feel bad this is the first day this doc is meeting me!!!!

One time I was fasting for blood work, had my exam and then was waiting by the lab. The nurses in the room next to the lab were talking about lunch and what they were going to have and eating Oreos! One walked by and apologized. LOL.

See, I am not a morning person and I can't eat until I have fully woken up anyway. Usually about 10. In fact, it's 9:30 my time and I just started breakfast. I do drink a glass of water every morning while I curl my hair though to get a jump start on my water intake. Maybe that tides me over? So those appts don't bother me!!!
