I think I got the recipe from the old boards, since I can't find it on my Pinterest boards. It is a crockpot recipe and I believe it was beef roast. Any ideas?

I posted on the old board a recipe for Mississippi Roast . I think it came from the Table for Two website. It is wonderful. Maybe that is it?

This is the one I have tried. It's fabulous! I've left out the butter before. THe most important parts to me seem to be the peppers, ranch dressing mix and au jus packet. I like to dump in some of the pepper liquid from the jar as well. Now my mouth is watering!

This is our favorite recipe.
Pepperoncini Beef
3-4 lb roast (I actually prefer eye of round roast because there is no fat - by any cut will be fine) Onion sliced into rings several cloves of garlic, I usually use 5-8 cloves 1 jar Pepperoncinies (I prefer to use whole and remove stems & seeds but you can use sliced) Sliced mushrooms - optional Provolone or mozzarella cheese Hoagie Rolls
Slice garlic cloves into thirds lengthwise, make slits in the roast and insert garlic all over roast (depending on how much garlic you like). Line bottom of crock pot with onions and put roast on top. Pour pepperoncinies and liquid over roast, cook on low 6-8 hrs or until falling apart. Serve on lightly toasted or grilled hoagie rolls with provolone or mozzarella cheese, and your choice of condiments (I like mayo). When making the sandwiches, place meat in rolls, cover with cheese, and zap in a microwave for a few seconds or place under broiler to melt cheese. Don't forget to use the pepperoncini in the sandwiches.
I have also added mushrooms to the crockpot during the last 45-60 minutes.

When I made it before I don't think I put the butter in, but everything else seems to match that recipe linked above.
