If any of you haven't seen it yet, I hope you check out our free monthly papercrafting magazine...Scrapbook Generation's CREATE. We've done seven issues so far, ranging in size from 201-267 pages.
They each feature a different manufacturer -- so far that has been Fancy Pants, My Mind's Eye, Echo Park, Pink Paislee, Teresa Collins, Sizzix, and Simple Stories, with Authentique coming up in the August 11 issue. We give their design teams four sketches, then show the different variations they come up with. We also feature 15 fun facts about the companies -- we've learned lots of inside info about each of the companies! Manufacturers have been very receptive about sharing -- we're totally booked up for the rest of this year and through the end of 2015!
Each issue also includes the same four sketches for you to download free. Then if you are interested, you can submit your take on one or more of the sketches in our readers gallery. We would love for you to give that a try!
There are lots of other features in each issue besides sketches, including mini-album ideas, journaling ideas, nine ways to use a simple product (like sequins or paint or bakers twine), party decor items, and more.
We've also incorporated the Sketch Support ideas from Allison Davis into CREATE. She does five variations of a sketch each month, and goes step by step through her creative process.
