www.valleynewslive.com/content/news/West-Farg0-Police-surround-CostCo-after-possible-threat-made-383280431.htmlI needed a few things from Costco, so I came here quick this morning. When I got here, there were police cars all around the building, and news crews in the parking lot. There was there were several people standing around in the parking lot, so I parked and got out and asked what was going on. They said that there was a threat called in to Costco, and that the police were checking the building. The police have sense given the all-clear, and shoppers we're allowed to go in. I admit I'm a little nervous, and I'm actually thinking about leaving and coming back later. Would you go in and do your shopping as quickly as possible, or would you just leave and come back at a different day /time?

If the police gave the all clear, I'd still be scared but go in.

After the all clear? Yeah I would still go if I needed to get something.
Idiots who call in threats do so because they can disrupt peoples lives. They want the knowledge that they scared someone. I refuse to allow them to do that to me. Of course, I would wait till the Cops were through with checking the place out, but after that? I would go and do my usual busines

Nothing I need to buy is worth that kind of trouble. I would wait a few days, at least.

I think I would be nervous, but would probably go in (and get through as quickly as possible) after the police gave the all-clear. They would have to be coming out as I was asking what was going on, because I once I knew about the threat, I wouldn't wait around for an all=clear. I'd just leave and come back another day, or go somewhere else if that was an option.

I'd probably be too shaken up to shop. When did Fargo get a Costco?!

Of course I would, once the all clear is given. Otherwise, you're basically saying that the police can't do their jobs properly. Not to mention, I don't have time to live my life in fear, I have better things to do than worry if Costco is going to blow up after the police leave. Get in, get out and carry on with life.

I would leave, and I would not go back that day. Perhaps not for awhile.
No thing i needed to buy in a store would be important enough to me to trump my sense of fear. I always listen to my gut.
I would do my shopping elsewhere.

There is no such thing as a quick in and out at my Costco. You are going to spend about 20 minutes in line period. With everyone hemmed in like cattle, large bulk items, overloaded carts everywhere. All the closed lanes blocked off so it's nearly impossible to even hike to the bathroom without dodging dozens of people. Given what it resembles on a "good" day, I'd hate to see what the stampede would be if everyone got startled and made for the exit at the same time. And if someone had blocked the exit as part of some sinister plan? It would make Black Friday sales look like tea with the Queen.
So no. Knowing shoppers and employees might be jumpy, that cops aren't infallible, I would not go in. There's absolutely nothing in that store worth my peace of mind, much less more. My shopping list can wait, my family can't.

My shopping list can wait, my family can't. I can't speak for busy times, my Costco is not like that at all! If I only need a few things, I can easily get in and out in 15 minutes or less. It does help that I usually only go in the mornings within an hour after it's open, and all the employees are so helpful and efficient. I did go in today, and even with lines, I was checked out and out the door in about eight minutes... I know because I got a text when I first started in line, and I looked at it when I got in the car, and I was impressed that I was checked out in eight minutes.

I'd probably be too shaken up to shop. When did Fargo get a Costco?! A year or two ago I think. If you haven't been to Fargo recently, it has exploded with building. The housing crisis never really hit the Fargo area, so even when the rest of the country was having the housing market crash, Fargo and West Fargo with growing like crazy. We bought our house 15 years ago, and a neighbor's house just sold, it was a little smaller but the price was more than double what we paid!

I have gone in after an all clear and probably will again. Threats that are **called in** typically are done so the caller gets out of work or gets a thrill of all the police, fire trucks, etc.
The bomber to worry about it the one that lays his bomb and walks away without any warning at all.

If an all clear was given, I'd go in. Just think of it this way - odds are, it's not going to be very busy.

This. Only in the movies do the villains give a heads up to the good guys what their dastardly plan is so it can easily be thwarted. Real life bad guys love the element of surprise.

I'd go on. In fact, I'd feel more comfortable going in after it was checked out than a few days later I case the first one was just a test.
