I want to make a red Sangria for dd's shower. I'm also having a Moscato strawberry lemonade.
I know NOTHING about wine and I'm seeing recipes that call for blackberry infused vodka, etc. in the recipe. I'm not sure if that is too sweet along with the moscato strawberry lemonade.
Help!
P.S. We will have bottles of wine also available which to groom's mom is picking out. They are "wine snobs" - her words, not mine.

I've been using this WF red wine sangria recipe for a few years and it's always a hit. For sangria, use a reasonably priced, reasonably good unoaked red with fruity, spicy notes. When peaches aren't in season, a ripe pear or an apple is a good substitute. We've added orange liqueur, which imparts a sweet, citrusy punch. You may omit it if you wish. Ingredients: 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine 1/2 cup orange juice 1/4 cup orange liqueur, such as triple sec (optional) 1/4 cup sugar 1 small orange, thinly sliced 1 small lemon, thinly sliced 1 peach, pitted and diced 1 cup lemon soda, chilled Ice cubes for serving Method: Combine wine, orange juice, orange liqueur (if using) and sugar in a large pitcher and stir to dissolve sugar. Stir in orange, lemon and peach. Refrigerate until sangria is chilled and the flavors have blended, at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours. Just before serving, gently stir in soda. Fill 4 glasses with ice and pour in sangria. Nutritional Info: Per Serving: 280 calories (0 from fat), 25mg sodium, 35g carbohydrates, (1 g dietary fiber, 28g sugar), 1g protein.

That recipe is pretty much identical to the one my friend uses and her sangria is delicious! When I was in Spain there were small pieces of diced apple in the sangria and it was a very nice addition.

I don't have an exact recipe but I use
Monin Red Sangria mix Red table wine Korbel brandy Mango syrup Pineapple and orange juices
It resembles Outbacks New South Wales sangria.

I use a boxed wine (I know horrors) called Vella Sangria. Dice up fruit and its very yummy and easy peasy.

This is our favorite. Carrabba's Blackberry Sangria 1 1⁄2 liters bisanzio italian wine or 1 1⁄2 liters any other sweet red italian wine 14 ounces cranberry juice (not cranberry cocktail) 14 ounces monin blackberry syrup 6 ounces tuaca italian liqueur

The Sangria Sangrai recipe from allrecipies is a good place to start. Read the reviews to get ideas for tweaks.
Also, the wine snobs should save the good stuff for something else. Sangria is traditionally made with cheap wine.
