I normally cook them (pork side or back) in the oven in a covered roaster or dutch oven for 3 hrs at 300 with a bit of water. I know some boil theirs. I don't want to have my oven or stove on for that long. How long would you do them in the crockpot for on low?

I only cook mine in the crock pot. It's easy and they are moist and delicious. Dad does his in the crock pot and then finishes them off on the grill for a smoky flavor. His are better than mine, but mine are easier. I use a dry rub only. I'll have to hunt up the recipe.

I put them in the crock, pour half a root beer or doctor pepper in the bottom, season the ribs how you like them, cook on low all day. I try to sauce them half way through if you like the sauce to be a little 'baked' on them. I like sweet baby rays BBQ sauce. Can't go wrong!

I cook them all day until they fall apart...6-8 hours. And Sweet Baby Ray's is phenomenal!

Crock pot is the way I cook them. Just put them in with bottled BBQ sauce and cook all day. Yummy and easy!!

I use this recipe from allrecipes.com and get raves every time. Some notes from me: I don't use her BBQ sauce recipe, I just use bottled sauce mixed with ketchup instead. I cut the racks into pairs of ribs after browning in oven, before placing in crockpot. And they really only need to cook for 5-6 hours to come out falling off the bone, at least in my crockpot.
