I can't believe I just turned 47. I feel like I'm about 34. I am finding some change is harder than it used to be. But while I'm not embarrassed about my age, I don't really like it when women my age talk about how they/we are gettino old. I just don't feel that, and I don't want others to see me that way. I don't really know why I care. I'm almost 47 and I hate it with a passion when people my age talk about how old 'we' are. I don't shuffle out of bed in the morning, I don't have aches and pains in my joints, I don't have chin hair, I don't need an afternoon nap so just stop it!! It's almost as if there's some kind of kudos in being old before your time. This, a hundred percent this. Well, 99... I do have some aches and pains. So I take some Tylenol. If I have chin hair I get it taken care of. And naps are awesome. But really, it's an attitude, and how you see yourself. I have several different froups of women friends, some much younger (former students), some my age, and some older. My group of of 45-65 are active, funny, smart, and none of us feel old. When it comes to birthdays, we say we've stopped counting but we're still celebrating!

But really, it's an attitude, and how you see yourself. It's definitely an attitude. I'm not old, I don't look old, I don't feel old. I'm not desperately clinging on to my youth but I refuse to have an old outlook on life. I hate naps, I feel awful after them. Maybe I'm napping wrong? ETA I only really nap after the 'sky rockets in flight'!

tbh I don't understand "tbh" when people (aka teens) post it on Facebook. My DNs and DNs do this and while I know it means to be honest, I don't understand why they are posting it with no other message. I know there used to be some kind of thing where you posted say "tbh" and then friends would send you a question in a private message and you had to answer honestly. Kind of like truth and dare. SaveTbh I totally think you're awesome and I validate this 'please validate me' post.

None of us "feel" old, however sometimes our bodies remind us.
