Naw, its not that at all, I don't think. I just most people thought it was them, and probably had the same experience I did. I mean, WHY would it suddenly not taste right? They didn't change it or anything..oh, wait. And as far as healthy goes? So, they tweaked it and put other 'stuff' in it. It's still processed. Public service...pfft. Let's see when all you food activists start pressuring your precious Starbucks and all their fattening mocha-caca caffeine laden drinks to get changed to be more 'healthy'...... .

Well, of course the page is full of complaints now that people found out that Kraft made a change. There are many other brands out there, so what's got people in such a dither? There's also this wild and crazy concept of making your own macaroni and cheese so it's exactly.the.way.you.want.it.

oh that's the difference between saying you want tacos and driving through Taco Bell and ordering a bunch of those things, or cooking the beef, grating the cheese and frying the shells. Sometimes you want one, sometimes the other. Kraft Mac and Cheese was like the Taco Bell of mac and cheese.

Hmmm, I don't know. Most of the complaints came AFTER the change was announced. Suddenly everyone was all like, "We noticed!" But, not too many complaints before that. There are also a good number of people who were happy with the change. Regardless, it's still processed crap, so consider it a public service if it tastes bad now and you don't buy it anymore. SaveSaveMaybe, like me, they didn't know there was something to complain ABOUT. Maybe like me, they just thought they lost interest in it. Thought it was something with themselves, not Kraft. That's probably true to a good extent. And also now that people know there was a change made, they get to complain about it on the Internet. Which people LOOOOOVE. I mean, they love that more than Kraft Mac & Cheese. SaveSave

We good Sock..sorry if my tone was directed at you.

I mean, it's one thing to not like the Kraft anymore and be disappointed because it tastes different or whatever. Even to complain to Kraft. Okay. It's next-level, though, to write some ridiculous blog post about not having access to non-cage free eggs, blaming "social-justice projects" and flailing about because you're a SAHM who is TOO BUSY to write to companies to complain about things and how dare they take away your COSTCO options. I mean, too busy except for that blog post complaining about people complaining. And writing for another blog. But, too busy. I mean, that's some first-world lady privilege up in that hizzy. SaveSave

Newsflash: Kraft has changed their formula many times before and they'll do it many times in the future. Everyone has their tipping point where they just don't like it anymore, and that's ok too (mine came 25-30 years ago when they changed it while I was in college. Or maybe my taste buds just grew up. Either way, I made it through to the other side). This is just like FB. Everyone hates the changes until they get used to them. There's a surge of hair-pulling, teeth gnashing, and garment rending; then everyone settles down as they get used to the changes. I get your Taco Bell comparison, yvonne, I do. Sometimes you just want to eat crap and not cook. Yep, I'm guilty of that too. But for the entitled nut-jobs like that article writer who are shrieking that their RIGHTS have been violated because they can't have exactly what they want when they want it, while SHOPPING no less? Invoking the term "nanny state" while bitching about eggs and a blue box of mac-n-cheese? That's just some full-on, batshit crazy manufactured drama and tantrum throwing. Nanny state doesn't mean what those fools think it means, because the government was in no way involved in Costco's sourcing decision or Kraft's latest and apparently oh-so-traumatic recipe change. If they were, then those idiots wouldn't be able to get non-organic eggs or mac-n-cheese with tons of artificial food dyes and whatever ANYWHERE.

Can I just say, if you're over Kraft Mac and Cheese, but too lazy to make your own, that this stuff is the bomb. I don't know if they sell it at Costco, though.

Okay, just had to add that out of curiousity I went on a search of Kraft Mac and Cheese and their Facebook page is FULL OF COMPLAINTS. despite all that advertising "and look! no one noticed"...uh yeah, they did. People are pissed, lol. SaveSaveHuh. I've *never* liked it, even when I was young, so maybe if I try it now I will? LOL. Then again, maybe not! FWIW, even my six year old wouldn't touch the stuff then or now. She preferred the Velveeta Shells & Cheese processed junk instead!

You know, there are times I want to open a jar of alfredo sauce full of chemicals vs. making it myself I kind of get the argument that I don't really want someone making the choice for me. I mean, 98% of the time, I make my own alfredo, it honestly takes just about as long to open a jar and heat it up as it does to make it myself. But there are times I just. don't. care. Maybe that's the thing that irritates me. I am almost always a make it from scratch kind of cook. But on the occasions I want cream of goop soup I am going to use it-I know what it is, I know what it is made of, I know that over all it is bad for me-but it seems a bit condescending to me when people lecture me about how bad it is. I know this is opening another can of worms, but I feel the same way about the new soda tax passed in Philadelphia. I understand that the tax raised is going to be dedicated to a specific fund that is going for badly needed projects, but it just doesn't sit right with me. But then again, I haven't eaten anything but Saltines since Friday afternoon, and I am both starving and nauseated at the same time. The hungry part of me could eat Taco Bell, boxed Mac and Cheese regardless of it is the new recipe or not, cage-free eggs, jello molds, ice cream bars and pretty much everything on the dinner thread yesterday. The nauseated side says that I need to pretty much stick to plain white food like rice and saltines. I may be a little cranky when it comes to food right now.

Trader Joes Frozen Mac and Cheese is crack. Crack, I tell you. And even easier than Kraft because it needs no boiling water. And now they have a version with Hatch Green Chiles. But the food activists are so thick in Trader Joes that you'd probably literally bump into 2 or 3 while shopping there.

I hadn't tried that yet, and a trip to TJ's is on the agenda for today anyway. I'll have to pick up a box. Except, dang it is fricking AFRICA hot out here right now omg..like 105! I hate to have to fire up the oven to bake it. I wonder if its microwaveable? I've got a hankerin' now too.

Don't get the guilt-free version though. Just the regular or the Hatch chile versions.

(my aunt fed us a chicken alfredo casserole thing from costco last summer that I still dream about.)

I seriously live in like, foodie heaven..Costo, 3 TJ's within 10 minutes of me in either direction. Whole Foods, Gelsons, Sprouts, Valley Produce, Vallartas..and now we are getting something called Vintage Grocery, after my beloved Bristol Farms closed down.
I hear ya on that CostCo chicken alfredo casserole. It's awesome to grab and go for dinner! That and that broccoli salad kit. OMG. Hungry now.

I have to drive at least an hour to get to anywhere other than Publix. Which is awesome in it's own right, but there is no chicken alfredo casserole.
