Well, it turns out I can't go to my end of year party with my staff. My boys have a birthday party and it was supposed to be at 5:30. It suddenly got moved to 3 p.m. While I'm a little sad, I'm not too sad. I am avoiding some major temptations right now, and that's always good! Thanks KikiPea , littlefish , STBC , @gilmore Girl in NYC, and brandy327 and anyone else I may have missed for the support! I will admit I'm a little freaked out about doing the yoga, but I'm going to do it. I promised myself I'd push myself this summer to get as fit as I could and there's no reason not to do this. All your support and advice is really motivating and helpful...thank you!

Such awesome positivity here today!
Yesterday was my rest day. I was working in the yard and stepped on a bee. I am allergic. I took some Benadryl right away and the pain and swelling went away.
I got up early to run this morning, but as soon as my foot hit the floor I knew it was not going to happen. I feel like there is a hot dog inside my foot. OUCH! My foot and ankle are swollen and the whole leg aches. More Benadryl for me.
I did some sit down projects, and I am hoping the swelling will allow me to run this evening when it cools down. I also need to do my BBM workout today.
Dh is out of town, so I have time.
Have a good one ladies.

Oh dear, that is scary TankTop. Glad you don't have anything worse than a hot dog in the foot right now.

Great job, ladies!
TankTop- Ouch- hope your foot feels better soon. I feel your pain- I'm allergic, too.
I'm still plugging along. Food is pretty good, but I'm in a rut eating the same stuff over and over... I did find Arctic Zero- frozen dessert. It kinda, sorta makes you feel like you're eating ice cream- at least it's cold and frozen. And those Yasso frozen yogurt bars that someone mentioned in another thread- oh now those are good! I bought Salted Caramel. I think I'm beginning to miss sweets!

WOW...I'm just getting here and your already on page 2. Active group today! brandy327 - I'm so excited you registered for a 5K. I'm running my 2nd one in 2 weeks and I can't wait. I really enjoyed the first one and have registered for 3 more before the end of 2016. They get addictive. The speed will come the more you run. Right now twice a week I run 3 miles and do intervals of 5 min run/1 min walk and I work on my speed. Then the other 2 run days are for distance. I run slower and no walking. Those runs I'm increasing my distance 1/4 mile every week so this week I did 4 miles. I have been doing these runs for 4 weeks and I can see the difference in my ability to run further as well as faster. sharlag - do you have an ipad? I watch Netflix or something like that when I walk. And the tablet sits over the top of the timer so I can't see it. I get bored too. missfrenchjessica - enjoy your summer off! I'm sure your looking forward to it. mrsp - good luck with the whole30. Is it a lot of prep work and cooking? It seems like it is. I would like to do it but it seems overwhelming to me. I have 3 1/2 more days of work and then it's vacay time. Saturday morning we leave and it can't get here quick enough. It's going to be busy at work and at home getting ready to leave but I scheduled my runs in my calendar so there isn't any excuses not to get them in. Weight in today - up 1 lb but wasn't surprised. Between my agency's dinner Saturday and fathers day yesterday I ate a lot of food I never eat.

You guys are amazing. I am stuck still at the weight I am. I did have a LOT of salt last night and we went out for lunch today. Beef dip sandwich surprise (there is no bun that's the surprise part of it) are my saving grace. No fries and the dip is just juice. There is no flour in it so it is perfect for the diet. I just want more weight loss. I also want the pain in my legs to just stop. Mornings are the worst, but it is bad now, too.
Gym tonight.

Ugh so sorry to hear that! I did something to my back this weekend. I think it's my sciatic nerve. Pain shooting from my butt through my thigh! That means no gym time for me until I heal. I'm laying in bed now with a heating pad, hoping I am better by tomorrow. TankTop and iamkristinl16 : What is this BBM workout you guys are talking about?

needmysanity I agree that there is a fair amount of prep but the Whole30 book gives a lot of suggestions for items that you can cook tonight and use ifor breakfast or lunch. Plus, I do a fair amount of cooking anyhow and the majority of the recipes I've found on Pinterest are fairly straightforward, under 5 or 6 ingredients and under 30 minutes. Mind you-- I'm not even through 24 hours yet! LOL!

I read these threads sporadically, but I feel like I need to join so I have more accountability.
I've put on the few pounds that I took off in the fall. That, and since I have the need to watch what I eat for my health (pre-diabetes) I am getting back into getting fit. I had a problem with my knee in February, and with the end of the year/testing teacher stress, I am right back where I started. Ugh. So I am making some positive changes. I have been going to PiYo and yoga for the last two weeks.i am going to add running on the ski machine at the gym. I would really like to get into lifting weights, but that is for the future.

I really want to find some sort of yoga video to do at home (a beginner) because there isn't any place close that does it...and besides, my balance and posture is horrible and I just don't think I could take myself to a studio without at least attempting it at home. But hearing some of the ladies here talk about how their flexibility has improved makes me want to try!

I stepped on one of my dad's cigarette butts as a kid and had a big ol' blister right in the center of the bottom of my foot and I can still remember the pain that it caused!!
