Pro: Hungry. So incredibly hungry. Hungry enough to eat my weight in whatever food some one put in front of me. Con: Still nauseated after eating even saltines. (double con: what ever this damn thing is making me not even want to smell coffee much less drink it. AND I DRINK A POT OF COFFEE A DAY! ) So what is a hungry nauseated person to do??? (I should probably skip all the food threads. ) You poor thing. Unfortunately, you should stick to saltines and sips of water until your stomach is truly settled. This thread is a blessing when you can eat whatever you want, but a curse when you can't eat. Feel better quickly. You are so right, and I shouldn't complain. I really shouldn't. It kind of stinks to be this cranky.

anxiousmom...I hope you feel better soon! I have to tell you something funny...I was texting my sister today and went to type anxious and "anxiousmom" came up in my predictive text! I laughed to myself and then wondered just how often I've actually typed anxiousmom! (It kept coming up while I typed this on my iPad too!! In other news...the offer we made on the townhouse we saw on Saturday was accepted!!!!! They countered and we refused to budge and then a couple hours later they accepted it!!!! I'm so excited...can you tell by all of the exclamation points? !!!!!

DS is on vacation this week. (He has over 200 hours of PTO so he finally is taking some!) We played golf this morning as a family for the first time in years and he played great. He's over at some friend's house at a BBQ so DH and I are alone. I got one of the Bertollini (sp) penne pasta thingies you make in a skillet in 10 minutes because I don't feel like cooking. That and a green salad are dinner.

My dinner was meant to be teriyaki marinated salmon, but DH came home feeling sick and doesn't want dinner. So I had yogurt and fruit instead, which is a pale comparison.

DD is having a bunch of friends over to cool off in the pool later and they plan to order pizza. I might tag onto their order or make a giant salad and let DH & DS fend for themselves. I will not cook or grill when temps approach 100F. Given that it is only 10 AM and we are already at 97F (36C), I expect to hit that mark today. ETA for dessert last night I tossed fresh strawberries and mint with a little Balsamic glaze - it was so good I'm just made another bowl for tonight. I have a chocolate balsamic vinegar that is so good on strawberries. That balsamic really brings out the flavor of the berries! SaveSave

And frankly, at one month shy of 50, if Jesus himself showed up on my front door step and said "anxious, we need to talk" I would have to politely decline.

Hey, if you can't complain to hundreds of your closest friends that you've never met and don't really know from Adam who can you complain to?
