A few of you wanted to know how ordering a refubed iPhone from groupon went so here's the update. Don't even bother. I received my phone in a pretty quick time frame, but immediately noticed a strange pink rectangle in the middle of the screen. I emailed and support said they would send a replacement upon receipt of the defective one. I sent it back. They had it almost a week. I sent three emails asking about the status. I got no response. I called Groupon. They said they didn't do replacement's and didn't know why I would get an email offering a replacement, all they could do was refund me. And by then it was out of stock so I couldn't reorder it... So I got an email that they were processing a refund. Two or three days later I got another email saying they were sorry for taking so long to get back to me and they were sending out a replacement. I got it today. It looks good, with the exception of a little scratch on the screen, and a small ding on the bottom. But IT'S LOCKED!!! It had the previous owners account locked in, some pictures and music. Now I can't disable find my iphone, so I can't do anything with it. Now I'm probably going to have to send it back again, unless maybe the apple store will reset it for me. Long story short, don't even bother. It's been nothing but a pricey headache.

Ugh. What a headache. I'm sorry for your experience. I've never bought refurbished through Groupon, but I have bought several refurbished phones from AT&T and they were always like new.

Yikes. What a nightmare. I looked at the reviews on Groupon's refurbished iPads, and was scared off by all the negative ones. I think getting a refurb phone/tablet is fine if you get it from the manufacturer, provider, or retailer (Target, etc.), but obviously Groupon isn't reliable enough at this point. Bummer...
