Are there any tips for getting the Selphy to print better quality pictures. Mi have had mine about a month. I love the convenience of it. Do I need to edit the photos more before I print or is there a specific Selphy setting to make the photos sharper and crisper?

Hmmm, are these pictures you have printed via other means and you can compare them to a Selphy print and find the Selphy print to be less crisp? I hope that makes sense...I personally find my Selphy prints amazingly well, better than a lot of lab prints. I do edit my photos (all of my photos!) before I print the. I am so lazy these days though i just use Pic Monkey which is a free web service... Pic Monkey

I sold my Selphy and upgraded to a Picturemate because of the photo quality issues. But when I did use the Selphy, I had to lighten the photo and do a color enhancement with my photo editing software.

Yes - when I used my Selphy I had to lighten my photos up considerably for them to come out the way I wanted them to. While it was convenient to print, the quality wasn't all that.

I definitely lighten up the photos more for printing with the Selphy from my computer - especially the shadows. I don't print from my phone so I can't speak to that.

That being said though - there definitely is a setting on the Selphy that you can turn off - and since I don't have my Selphy anymore, I can't direct you to exactly where it is. But it's the "optimize" setting. You'd think you're pictures would be better with it on, but I had FAR BETTER results when I turned it off - and I'm not alone. I'm pretty sure most people have it off!
