We will be cropping and shopping from 8 am to midnight Fri and Sat. We have a table for 4 reserved both days but I've only met the other 2 ladies once. My friend is celebrating her birthday tomorrow but we are in our late 50's! Oh to be 35 again!

Ladies it is Sunday and an amazing event it already over. I didnt spend all i had because i have ckc lancaster in a month. I cropped a lot and was so happy with the ability to shop and crop all day. I didnt win any prizes though. I saw many of my scrapfriends from home who made the trip so it was almost like a local event with so many familiar faces everywhere. Hope you will be at ckc richmond in october!

@myboysandme I am exhausted! I had a blast! Thank you for the pictures of us as care bears. Boy we will be stepping up our game for sure if we go next year! I was super happy with teh crops and the shopping was ok (didn't do too much damage as I don't do cards or much mixed media). But I do have to say I was frustrated with the one class I took. I could not hear a word the instruction was saying (and I was in the second row leaning in) I couldn't hear the lady sitting right next to me either! It was so frustrating that we had two ladies walk out and when I got a good news text from hubby five minutes towards the end I packed up and left. I just was disappointed, if the classes are set up like that next year I will know not to take any Other than that I had a blast! Thank you for my yummy cake! Ckc Lancaster,.....tell me more!

Fun pictures! And happy birthday to you, CrystalB!
I went on Friday. I never even thought to meet up with any Peas. Duh! I'm so used to working on my own.
I didn't do any classes, as I like to do my own thing and I didn't see any classes offered that I couldn't do on my own. I missed last year and was surprised at how small the shopping area has become. I was at the quilt expo there a few weeks earlier and it was twice the size. I was thinking it would be bigger since we no longer have a LSS anywhere in the area. Just the paper crafting section of the big box craft stores are left.
I was amazed at all the booths with page kits and laser cut designs. I would think that people would be doing that themselves with online photos and digital die cutters. But there were some really beautiful designs--so detailed!
The vendors were mainly stamping or mixed media, neither of which are my thing. I was hoping to see some Oracal vinyl, some printed vinyl, some specific Sizzix dies, maybe someone there from Stampin Up or another MLM. I'm not sure I even spent $50. But it sure was crowded! Maybe because there were so few booths and they were all crammed in the middle of the building?

Ckc Lancaster,.....tell me more! www.ckscrapbookevents.com/CKScrapbookConventions/CKCLancaster.aspxIf you have not been to CKC it differs from Expo in that the crops are only in the evening. There are about the same number of vendors but maybe 50% of them are the ones you saw at Expo, like Eyelet Express, Scrap That, Melissa Francis, Paper Wizard... Not many paper vendors at Expo. My favorite at CKC is Stamping Station because I love all their travel, military and sports papers. Also tons of theme paper at Escape Scrapbooking. I think you can crop during the day but I can't remember. We leave on Friday after the vendors close and go to the LSS Pages in Time to shop. Sometimes we do CKC crops. We will at CKC Richmond in October, at least the Fri night one. I think the classes at both Expo and CKC can be hit or miss. It is good to let them know about any problems so they can fix it for next time. Usually the classes are held in separate classrooms but the more crowded ones tend to be more chaotic. I remember years ago this class that Lisa B taught at CKC - some very messy paint/stamp mini book thing and there was not enough supplies to go around and nothing to clean up the mess. But it was Lisa B and at the time that was a cool thing. Sassenach - check in!
