Do you have one? I would love something that would clean all varieties of inks instead of having sprays, baby wipes, bottles of cleaners etc. Does this do the job would I still need an arsenal of cleansers? I've read a little about it but I value personal experience first! Thanks!

Glad you asked the question. I keep seeing references to it, but I also like a first hand opinion.

I have the absorber which is reportedly the same thing. It's bigger though, so I cut a piece out of it. I'm still using the same piece so it lasts quite a while. It's all black though. I let mine dry in between uses but some people keep theirs in a container that keeps it damp. I only use it on dye inks. I'm afraid pigment ink will end up transferring to other stamps. I use ultra clean spray on pigment inked stamps.

I will say it doesn't get all the ink off the sides and I still use my Stampin' Scrub. I like having both types of cleaning tools.

I love mine. Wet it, wring it out and it's ready for use. No waiting for the stamp to dry to either put away or re-ink. It dries immediately.
I do still use my scrubber and spray for pigment inks and Staz-on, but I no longer use baby wipes.

I bought an Absorber from Walmart. I cut off a piece and use it to clean my stamps. The rest I use to dry my car. It works great. I let it dry out between uses. I use it with pigment, dye and StazOn. When it gets too black I hand wash it with soap (my dove bath bar) and it comes out pretty clean.

Is there a difference in this cloth and a regular shammy cloth you would purchase in automotive/housewares?

Is there a difference in this cloth and a regular shammy cloth you would purchase in automotive/housewares? I haven't used a shammy that you would use on a car in a VERY LONG time (were talking like from the 80's...YIKES..haha!!). From what I remember about them the shammy was thicker and almost felt like suede. I'd think you can use it and get the same results as you would from Lawn Fawn's Shammy. You would probably want to cut it down so it's not so big.

I use an absorber I bought off Amazon. It's large so I cut a small section. I need to clean it as it's pretty dirty, I just keep forgetting. I love it and love not needing baby wipes 🙂

It is my understanding that the LF Shammy is a smaller and more expensive version of the Absorber. I have the Absorber (one purchased from Wal-Mart and one from Amazon). Cut them up into more workable sizes (and then remember where you put the original and thus the reason I have purchased two). I clean most of my stamps with the Absorber and water. Occasionally I'll use stamp cleaner and a paper towel on black and red inks. The Absorber gets pretty ugly as your inks transfer to it but in no way does the ugliness impact its ability to clean. Some people wash them in the washing machine. When mine get really bad, I just toss them and cut a new piece.
Oh, and I let mine dry out between uses. They can develop a funky smell if left in say, a closed ziplock bag. In that case, let it dry and the smell goes away.

I too have the Absorber! I've cut it up to use. I love it!
I forgot to add that I bought it at a local auto store as I couldn't find one at Walmart.

I have the LawnFawn one - got it for next to nothing on a sale with a gift card. Its ok, it works. But if I had to pay full price, I would be looking for an Absorber.

I have the absorber as well. Better value IMO because it's much larger!
