I'm new to shopping at Hobby Lobby since around March and I'm wondering if they ever offer % of entire purchase coupons (like Joanne or Micheal's does a handful of times a year)? I watch the sales on the yarn and the discount is usually so low. The I Love This Yarn is usually only marked down from $3.99 to $3.69--that is only 8% off--and then The I Love This Cotton is regular price. I'd like to go when I can really maximize my savings as I want to buy both the regular and cotton I Love This Yarn.
So, am I waiting for something that is never going to happen? Also, where do these coupons appear (I am on their email don't get HB ad in my paper as we aren't near the store)?

No and they don't do Black Friday sales either. They do 50% off all their Paper Studio products every few weeks which covers quite a bit of scrapbooking.

I haven't ever checked for yarn sales, so I can't speak to that. You can use your phone for 40% every day. I have used it multiple times on occasion. I just go through a different check out. When I really need more than one of something, I would get my boys to go with me and they used coupons from the paper. It was funny to watch a four year old boy give the lady a $5 bill for something scrappy. But, hey, it worked. I have been shopping at HL for over 30 years and have never seen a % off.

No, just the one 40% off regular price item. I only buy one thing at a time there, unless it's on clearance.

I think that at HL, if what you want to buy is on sale for like 30% off and you have a 40% off coupon, they'll take 40% off. Unlike most other stores that would only give you the 30% off.
Their weekly 40% off coupons used to be for only a specific area of the store (fabric, decor, paint, etc), but the last year or so they seem to be 40% anything in the store, which is nice b/c then you don't have to wait for a specific coupon to come around.

No, I've never seen a % off total purchase.
And I have always been told they do not honor any competitor coupons.
They have a 40% off regular price item almost all the time. You just get it online. I look it up on my phone and take a screenshot of it before I go in. Lots faster than waiting for it to load in the store.
I usually go in and buy just one thing at a time with a coupon.

Nope, never entire purchase. Just off ONE regular priced item. It makes yarn buying a PITA so I usually only buy one or two at a time there and usually only the scrubby yarn or sock yarn in a color that JoAnn that is on the other side of the same parking lot doesn't carry in store. What irks me is that they have 30% off the majority of the fabrics there all the time, half off nearly everything in the store on a rotating basis, but their yarn sales SUCK. The ILTY is usually $3.79 or something and they'll have a sale where it's $3.19. Really? You're going to do half off jewelry findings, beads, ribbons, etc but only knock off a measly 50 cents a skein on your yarn?

The yarn sales are less than 10 to 15%. I live 30+ minutes away from my HL and it isn't in an area that I would have any other reason to be so it is a specific trip just to shop there. I just worked up a washcloth using I Love This Cotton (the Denims color) and it has excellent soft texture. Far superior to the Lily brand cotton I've tried (some colors are less stiff/scratchy than others I've noticed).

You could try to see if anyone is looking to get rid of batches of them. Might be worth it. I had a big lot of ILTC that I got rid of through one of those groups.
