Okay - so it's not in my town but it's in the nearest big-ish city about 45min or so away (previously I had to drive 90+min). I'm so excited! I got to go today - didn't buy much but it's close enough now that I'll get to stop in about monthly instead of once or twice a year. YAY!.

You are going to love that place. They do get some of the brand name stuff in stock and you can use a coupon.

Hi girls, I am not american and I don't know whats a Hobby Lobby. Is it a store? Yes, they sell crafts and home decor items. We now have a Hobby Lobby about 30 minutes away. The closest one used to be over an hour. I found an absolutely gorgeous Christmas Nativity framed print there last year, soon after they opened. They have some wonderful things, although their scrapping section is just so-so. Still, they sell Silhouette mats & blades, and let you use a coupon to buy them.

I never heard of this store before although I travel a lot to the US. But I will make sure I will look up for it next time.

It's only in certain regions of the US. They are headquartered in Oklahoma City.

I love Hobby Lobby! I always find stuff I didn't know I needed. I'm spoiled and have always lived within 15 minutes or so of a Hobby Lobby.

I am so so jealous. I did serious damage in a Hobby Lobby in Florida last week - I wish we had something/anything like this in the UK

My closest HL is over two hours away, so I only go there once or twice a year. I like HL, but the scrapping section is only so-so. And it seemed smaller the last time I went, than the time before. I do love their decor section, and holiday items. I wish we had one closer, but that may be a good thing after all

We just got one about 1/2 hour from me. Used to be over an hour. I am very happy. I'm in NJ, and it's taken them a while to get here, so hang in there ladies! They might get to you eventually!

Lucky you! No Hobby Lobby in Canada although there is one just across the border that I make sure I visit every time we're in the US which is a couple of times a year! In fact, we're just getting ready to drive back home from Virginia and I'm seriously doing my best to convince my dear husband to swing buy so I can spend the last bit of my vacation money...

I now have 2 HL stores within an hour. Plus there is one 5 minutes from my daughter's house when I'm visiting up there. I have to say, I'm not really impressed as far as scrapping goes. I think it would be great for holiday decor items and they certainly carry supplies for a wide variety of lesser known hobbies. I actually like Joanne's better since I usually find more scrappy stuff there.

pattyg - we have a Michaels here in town and the city with the new HL also has Michaels and a new Joanns Etc.. (about 45 minutes away). I don't find much at Michaels and I wasn't very impressed with the scrapbook aisles at Joann's recently. I do like HL because I also sew...

There is a Hobby Lobby on every corner around my part of the world, and I love all the home/decor items, baskets, flowers, etc. They also have a large framing section, art supply section, and other hobby supplies. Big section of fabric and sewing supplies, too. Tons of seasonal items--fall, Thanksgiving,Halloween, and Christmas items are out here.
As far a scrapbook supplies go, they carry quite a big selection in the stores around here along with adhesive, rubber stamps, Tim Holtz paint, ink, and embellies, lots of albums,PL stuff, etc.
I use the coupon for adhesive or whatever isn't on sale, but everything in the store is usually on sale quite often.
Since there are no LSS within 2 hours of me, I really like HL, along with Michaels and Joanns.

OK, remember when I said HL wasn't good for sb stuff?!? I totally take that back. I went to the one in Syracuse, NY today and found all sorts of goodies! Some were 1/2 price and I googled a HL coupon for 40% off a Simple Stories PL card pack. $17 later, I had a nice little score!☺

A few things about Hobby Lobby.
Always take your coupon (either from the print add, or print it from their website.
Never buy anything at full price. Wait a week - it will be on sale.
Don't go on Sunday. Not open.

They just got some new paper lines in this week. Finally. They also clearanced lots of paper to make more room. I always use my phone for the code. We have three in town and I have gone to all three and used the coupon just to make sure I got what I wanted.

Highlighting what Nancy said above:
Smart Phone coupon!
I've joked, some months phone coupons have saved enough money to pay phone fees.
